| Objective: To investigate the incidence of erectile dysfunction(ED)in hospitalized male patients with coronary heart disease(CHD)in the department of cardiology, and to explore the relationship between ED and its related factors. Methods: All male patients with coronary heart disease admitted to the Department of Cardiovascular Medicine, the First Affiliated Hospital of China Medical University from August 2020 to November 2021 were selected. To investigate the prevalence of ED in male inpatients with CHD in the Department of Cardiovascular medicine by statistical analysis of data from 150 subjects who met the criteria.Subjects were divided into two groups based on erectile dysfunction: the ED group(98 cases)and the non-ED group(52 cases).Multivariate Logistic regression analysis was used to analyze the relationship between the related factors and the occurrence of ED.Results: 1.The prevalence of ED in male hospitalized CHD patients in the department of Cardiovascular Medicine of our center was 65.33%.Further analysis showed that the onset of ED was 4.58±0.32 years earlier than CHD on average.2.There were statistically significant differences in body mass index(BMI),hypertension, diabetes, smoking history and drinking history between the ED group and the non-ED group(P<0.05).After adjusting the influence of confounding factors,The odds ratios(OR)of BMI,hypertension, diabetes, smoking, and alcohol consumption were 1.714(95%CI1.075-2.733,P < 0.05),4.778(95%CI 1.048-21.781,P < 0.05),4.229(95%CI1.376-13.002,P < 0.05),2.401(95%CI 1.127-5.117,P < 0.05)and 3.102(95%CI1.102-8.731,P < 0.05).BMI,hypertension,diabetes mellitus, smoking history and drinking history are risk factors for ED.Conclusion: 1.The prevalence of ED among male CHD inpatients in the department of Cardiovascular Medicine of our center was 65.33%.2.The onset time of ED was4.58±0.32 years earlier than that of CHD,suggesting that ED may serve as an early predictive signal of CHD and provide early prevention guidance for the occurrence of CHD events in the future.3.BMI,hypertension,diabetes mellitus, smoking history and drinking history were all risk factors for ED. |
