| Objective: To explore the risk factors of diabetic patients with kidney stones, and to provide theoretical support for reducing the risk of kidney stones in diabetic patients. Methods: From September 1,2020 to August 31,2021,a single center cross-sectional analysis was performed 968 patients with type 2diabetes mellitus in the Department of urology and endocrinology of The Second Affiliated Hospital of University of South China. In this study, patient data were collected in the hospital case system.Kidney stones were identified by ultrasonography or computed tomography.Type 2diabetes was diagnosed by medical history and previous examination.According the exclusion criteria, patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus with kidney stones(a total of 119 cases)set as the observation group, while those without kidney stones set as control cases(a total of 119cases).The gender, age and admission time of the patients in the control group were the same as those in the observation group. This study compared the data differences between the control group and the observation group.such as the age, gender, height, weight, duration of diabetes, health behaviors(such as smoking and drinking),laboratory findings and complications of diabetes. The risk factors of type two diabetes mellitus complicated with kidney stones were analyzed by binary Logistic analysis.Results:(1)In this study, there were 968 patients with type 2diabetes were included in the hospital case system, there were 623 males,27.4% were diagnosed with kidney stones and 345 females,15.9% were diagnosed with kidney stones,Univariate logistic analysis showed that men(OR 1.445,95% CI 1.022-2.042)were the risk factors for kidney stones in type 2 diabetes.Among the 968 patients,189 patients with type2 diabetes complicated with kidney stones were 58.48 ± 11.80 years old,and 779 patients with type 2 diabetes without kidney stones were 56.20 ±13.20 years old.Univariate logistic analysis showed that age(OR 1.014,95% CI 1.001-1.027)was a risk factor for type 2 diabetes with kidney stones.(2)In the univariate analysis, there were statistically significant difference in albumin, uric acid, creatinine, urine blood, urine protein, urine leukocyte, renal cyst, diabetic nephropathy and diabetes complications(P<0.05).(3)According to the standard of P < 0.1,the differential indexes were analyzed by binary logistic analysis, which showed albumin(or = 0.917,95% CI 0.845-0.994,P = 0.036),triglyceride(or = 1.170,95% CI 1.023-1.338,P = 0.022)and urinary blood(or = 4.102,95% CI 1.658-10.148,P = 0.002),suggesting that low albumin, high triglyceride and urine occult blood were independent risk factors for patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus with kidney stones.(4)For the number of complications of type 2 diabetes, the patients were divided into four groups(Z=-2.676,P=0.007<0.05),there were statistically significant difference in Different groups. The results showed that there was a positive correlation between the number of complications of diabetes and the prevalence of kidney stones.Diabetes patients with more complications have a higher prevalence of kidney stones.Conclusion:(1)In patients with type 2 diabetes, age, low albumin, high triglyceride were independent risk factors for patients with type 2diabetes mellitus with kidney stones.(2)In patients with type 2 diabetes, diabetes patients with more complications have a higher prevalence of kidney stones. |
