Virtual reality is a computer technology that can create and experience the virtual world.Users can interact with virtual objects in a realistic virtual environment and obtain information through their own perception and cognition.Because of the diversity and interest of virtual environments, virtual reality is widely used in the field of upper limb rehabilitation.Previous studies have shown that in the process of interacting with virtual environments, improving the authenticity of sensory feedback and increasing the way of sensory feedback will enhance users’ perception and cognition, which may further affect the effect of rehabilitation. At present, motion interaction based on avatars is one of the ways to improve the authenticity, and motion control technology is the key technology to map the motion to avatars. The existing consumer products, including wearable devices and non wearable devices, can only control the movement of the avatar’s arms or hands in the virtual environment, while the products that can simultaneously control the movement of the avatar’s arms and hands in the virtual environment are expensive and cumbersome. In addition, for sensory feedback, visual sensory feedback and auditory sensory feedback are the ways that people obtain the most information. At present, many researchers study the effects of audio-visual feedback on brain activity in different tasks based on EEG information.Previous studies have shown that this audio-visual feedback can enhance brain activity in robot tasks based on evoked signals and text input tasks through imagery. However,in the tasks of upper-limb motor imagery based on virtual reality, the impact of audio-visual feedback on perception is still unknown. Therefore, this paper has carried out the following work:1.A motion control method for the avatar’s full upper limbs based on virtual reality is proposed, which solves the limitation that the current consumer products can only control the movement of the avatar’s arms or hands in the virtual environment.2.The influence of the method proposed in this paper on perception and rehabilitation effect is studied. The experimental results show that the proposed method can enhance the subjects’ ability of perception and improve the effect of rehabilitation.3.Explore the effects of audio-visual feedback and single visual feedback on perception.
