Objective:At present, there are many studies on the chronic pain and postoperative quality of life of patients after different inguinal hernia repair, but there is a lack of studies on the early postoperative pain and movement of patients. We hope to use two commonly used pain scoring scales to objectively measure the postoperative dynamics of patients,so as to further understand the early postoperative pain and dynamics of patients receiving TAPP or Lichtenstein surgery and their differences. Methods and contents:This study retrospectively collected the data of patients diagnosed with inguinal hernia in the first Department of General Surgery of Shaanxi Provincial People’s Hospital from July 2021 to December 2022,and collected and sorted the patient information strictly according to the inclusion and exclusion criteria and whether the data were missing.A total of 80 patients were included in this study.According to different surgical methods, the patients were divided into TAPP group(Group A,40 cases)and Lichtenstein group(group B,40 cases).SPSS25.0 software was used to make statistical analysis of patients’ basic information, operation status and operation related data.Results:1.There was no significant difference in gender, age and BMI between group A and group B.2 VAS and VRS scores of patients in group A and group B had no statistical significance before surgery,20-22 h and 44-46 h after surgery; There was no statistically significant difference in the duration from getting up to standing beside the bed between group A and group B before surgery, but there was statistically significant difference between 20-22 h and 44-46 h after surgery.Patients in group A and group B had no statistically significant difference in the duration of 90° flexural knee flexor and hip flexor before surgery and 44-46 h after surgery, but had statistically significant difference between 20-22 h after surgery. The walking duration of 10 m and 20 m in group A and group B was not statistically significant before surgery, but was statistically significant between 20-22 h and 44-46 h after surgery. The duration from getting up to standing beside the bed in group A and group B was significantly different before and 20-22 h after surgery. The duration of 90° flexion of knees and hips in group A and group B was significantly different before and 20-22 h after surgery.Patients in group A and group B walked for 10 meters and 20 meters, and the difference before and 20-22 h after surgery was statistically significant.3.There was no statistical significance in the size of hernia ring opening, operation duration and total length of hospital stay in group A and group B;Postoperative hospitalization duration and hospitalization cost of group A and group B were statistically significant. No conversion to laparotomy was performed in the TAPP group, and the operations were successfully completed in both groups. No complications or other discomfort occurred in both groups during hospital stay.Conclusion:1.There was no difference in VAS and VRS pain scores between TAPP and Lichtenstein postoperative patients.2.Both surgical methods will affect the postoperative mobility of patients,TAPP is faster than Lichtenstein postoperative patients recover mobility.3.Patients who received TAPP were discharged earlier than those who received Lichtenstein.
