Objective: Through retrospective analysis of the treatment of patients with lacrimal duct obstruction with new RS tube or annular tube combined with KTP laser in our department,to explore whether new RS tube or annular tube is better for the treatment of lacrimal duct obstruction.Methods: In this study,81 eyes of 60 patients with lacrimal duct obstruction admitted to the ophthalmology Department of Yan ’an University Hospital from January2021 to September 2022 were selected using a single-blind randomized controlled trial.They were divided into RS tube group and ring tube group,with 39 eyes in 30 cases in RS tube group and 42 eyes in 30 cases in ring tube group.New RS tube and ring tube were implanted respectively after lacrimal duct probing by KTP laser under nerve block anesthesia.All patients were extubed 3 months after surgery.General data,VAS score,operation time,clinical efficacy 3 months after surgery,anatomic efficacy,long-term postoperative efficacy,intraoperative or postoperative complications were collected.T-test,Mann-Whitney U test,Chi-square test,and Fisher’s exact probability method were used to compare the differences.Results: 1.Three months after operation,the anatomic effective rates of RS tube group and annular tube group were 92.3% and 88.1%,respectively,with statistical significance(Z=-1.983,P=0.047).Functional effective rates were 92.3% and 85.7%,respectively,and the difference was statistically significant(Z=-2.251,P=0.024).2.One year after operation,the functional effective rates of RS tube group and ring tube group were 82.8% and 76.7%,respectively,with statistical significance(Z=-2.249,P=0.024).3.The mean operation time of RS tube group and ring tube group was 13.95±1.30 min and21.50±2.47 min,and there was a statistical difference between the two groups(t=17.022,P=0.001).The median VAS scores of the two groups were 2 and 3,respectively,and the difference was statistically significant(Z=-6.229,P=0.000).4.There were 1 and 13 cases of nasal mucosal hemorrhage in RS tube group and ring tube group,respectively,and the difference was statistically significant(P=0.039).There were no statistically significant differences in the intraoperative or postoperative complications such as false canal formation,lacrimal lacrimal tear,eyelid edema and extubation between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusions:1.The therapeutic effect of RS tube combined with KTP laser in the treatment of lacrimal duct obstruction is better than that of annular tube.2.RS tube implantation does not require operation in the nasal cavity,and has the advantages of simple operation,less time,less postoperative complications,and less pain for patients,which has clinical promotion value.
