Objective:To evaluate the clinical value of using age-adjusted Charlson comorbidity index(a CCI)to evaluate the prognosis of patients with primary liver cancer after TACE treatment.Method:Patients with primary liver cancer who received TACE treatment in the Department of Oncology and hepatology of our hospital from May 2016 to May 2022 were collected through the case system of our hospital.General information, past history, blood routine, coagulation function, liver and kidney function,electrocardiog-ram,cardio-cerebrovascular color ultrasound, chest and abdominal CT of all subjects were recorded. In addition, before TACE treatment, patients were scored using the a CCI score scale, and then the mean truncation value of a CCI score was used as the basic basis to divide the study population into two groups, namely high complication rating group and low complication rating group, and the difference in survival between the two groups was compared and analyzed. Results:A total of 137 patients were included in this study,of which 55 were in the high group, accounting for 40.15%,and 82 were in the low group, accounting for 59.85%.Compared with the high group, the overall survival(OS)of the low group was longer, and the difference between groups was significant(P<0.05).The OS and PFS in the low group were higher than those in the high group(P<0.05),and the fatality rate was lower than that in the high group(P<0.05).Meanwhile,Cox regression analysis showed that the prognosis of patients with primary liver cancer was closely related to the a CCI score and the Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group performance status(ECOG PS)score. Conclusions:When TACE is used in the clinical treatment of primary liver cancer patients, the age-adjusted Chilson complication index can predict the prognosis of patients and can be used as a safe and effective indicator, but prospective large-scale studies are still needed for verification.
