Objective: The clinical effects of extended central wedge resection and modified curved resection in the treatment of labia minora combined with clitoral hood hypertrophy were analyzed, and the difference between the two methods was evaluated.to provide a more valuable method for clinical treatment of labia minora combined with clitoral hood hypertrophy.Method: From June 2021 to June 2022,60 patients with hypertrophy of labia minora combined with clitoral hood were randomly divided into two groups: group A(n = 30)and group B(n = 30).Group A underwent extended central wedge resection and group B underwent modified curved resection. The patients were followed up for6 months to evaluate the curative effect and record the related adverse reactions and complications. Results: There was no statistically significant difference in preoperative general data between the two groups(P>0.05).The scores of GAS after operation 3 months and 6 months in both groups were significantly decreased, indicating therapeutic effects for both groups. The extended central wedge resection group was superior to the modified curved resection group in terms of postoperative complication rate, incisional healing, patient satisfaction and genital appearance satisfaction.Six months after operation, the Vancouver scar score was(4±1.24)in the extended wedge resection group and(5.17 ±1.77)in the modified curved resection group. The difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion: Both extended central wedge resection group and the modified curved resection group had significant effects in the treatment of labia minora combined with clitoral hood hypertrophy. The extended central wedge resection group was superior to the modified curved resection group in postoperative complications, incisional healing, patient satisfaction, genital appearance satisfaction and incisional scar.
