ObjectiveTo evaluate the surgical efficiency, positioning accuracy, biopsy success rate and surgical safety of Sinovation SR1-3D surgery robot-assisted stereotactic brain biopsy.MethodsThe data of 54 patients with stereotactic biopsy from 54 cases of stereotactic biopsy in Jiangxi Provincial People’s Hospital from February 2017 to November 2022 were collected,of which 27 patients underwent stereotactic brain biopsy and 27 patients underwent Sinovation SR1-3D surgery robot-assisted stereotactic brain biopsy, and the differences in registration error, duration of operation, positive rate of disease test, incidence of adverse events in surgery, length of hospitalization, hospitalization cost, surgical cost, entry point error and target error were compared between the two groups.ResultsThe data of 54 patients receiving stereotaxic brain biopsy were retrospectively analyzed, including 27 patients in the robot-assisted group and 27 patients in the Anke frame group. The average registration error of 3D structural light facial scan was 0.31±0.07 mm.The mean operation time in the robot-assisted surgery group was significantly shorter than that in the frame surgery group(49.00±15.28 min vs.66.07± 17.05 min,P<0.05).There were 26 positive pathological examinations in the robot-assisted surgery group(96.29%),and 26 positive pathological examinations in the frame surgery group(96.29%).There was no statistical difference in the detection rate between the two groups(P>0.05).There were 3 cases of adverse events after robot-assisted surgery(small target bleeding),and the incidence of adverse events was 11.11%;there were 2 cases of adverse events after robot-assisted surgery(also small target bleeding),and the incidence of adverse events was 7.40%.There was no statistical significance in the incidence of adverse events between the two cases(P>0.05),and no puncture canal bleeding occurred in either of the two cases. There was no significant difference in length of hospital stay between robot-assisted surgery and frame surgery(15.96±9.29 d vs 13.62±5.99 d,P>0.05).In the comparison of surgical costs, the robot-assisted surgery group was higher than the frame-assisted surgery group(4009.04±1278.57 yuan vs 3304.07±1047.18 yuan,P<0.05).When comparing the entry point error and target error of the two groups, the entry point error of the robot-assisted surgery group was lower than that of the frame surgery group(0.82±0.37 mm vs 1.06±0.46 mm,P<0.05).The target error in the robot-assisted surgery group was lower than that in the frame surgery group(0.92±0.31 vs1.30±0.44,P<0.05).ConclusionCompared with stereotactic brain biopsy with frame stereotactic brain biopsy,3D structured light robot-assisted stereotactic brain biopsy has shorter operation time, less error, and has the characteristics of accuracy and efficiency.
