Objective:To investigate and describe the care burden, anxiety and depression and health-related quality of life of caregivers in patients with spinal cord injury(SCI),to clarify the relationship between care burden, anxiety and depression and health-related quality of life, and to explore the influencing factors of health-related quality of life,so as to provide scientific basis for improving the health-related quality of life of caregivers. Methods:SCI patients and their caregivers were selected from the Department of Spinal surgery of Xiangya Hospital of Central South University in Changsha City,Hunan Province from June 2019 to December 2021.The general social demographic data table,Barthel Index rating scale,Zarit Care burden scale,Hospital anxiety and Depression scale and Health Survey short form SF-36 were used to investigate the care burden, anxiety and depression and health-related quality of life of caregivers of SCI patients by questionnaire and telephone follow-up.The general socio-demographic data analysis, pearson correlation analysis and multiple regression analysis were carried out by using SPSS25.0software.Results:During the study,148 questionnaires were collected and 120 valid questionnaires were collected. The results show that:1.The caregivers’ scores of care burden, anxiety, depression and health-related quality of life were 43.41±14.12,8.33±3.68,10.04±4.12 and 67.83±9.85 respectively.2.The scores of health-related quality of life of caregivers were significantly different in education level, working status, monthly family income, daily care time, care years, number of co-caregivers,injury site of family medical staff and SCI patients,ASIA grade and activities of daily living.3.The two areas(physical health and mental health)and their total scores of caregiver health-related quality of life scale were significantly negatively correlated with the two dimensions(personal burden and responsibility burden)and their total scores of caregiver health-related quality of life scale(P < 0.01);There was also a significant negative correlation with the scores of anxiety and depression Scale(p < 0.01).4.The level of care burden, degree of anxiety and depression, daily care time, care years, number of co-caregivers,ASIA grade and activities of daily living of patients with SCI were predictive variables of health-related quality of life of caregivers of SCI patients(F=87.886,P<0.00).Conclusion:1.The overall health-related quality of life of caregivers of patients with spinal cord injury is poor, and there is a higher care burden and a higher degree of anxiety and depression.2.There was a significant negative correlation between care burden, anxiety and depression and health-related quality of life.3.The level of care burden, degree of anxiety and depression, daily care time, care years, number of co-care,ASIA grade and ability of daily living of caregivers of patients with spinal cord injury were predictive variables of health-related quality of life.
