Platelets are precious blood cells in human blood.Their function of accelerating coagulation plays a vital role in maintaining the normal function of human body,especially in protecting the life of patients with sudden trauma.However,due to the perishability of platelets and the uniqueness of their source,their inventory management is facing severe requirements and tests.Therefore,it is very necessary to study the operation efficiency of blood supply chain.This paper proposes a platelet inventory management strategy based on proactive transshipment,combined with the uncertainty of platelet supply and demand and the short timeliness of platelet inventory,studies the optimization of the inventory-distribution system in platelet inventory management,starts from reducing the overall expected cost of the inventory system,seeks the best transshipment decision in a single area and cross areas scenario,and explores the factors affecting platelet shortage,outdated and the total operating cost of the system,In order to reduce the shortage and outdated quantity and improve the operation efficiency of the blood inventory system.Firstly,in a single urban area,between at the uncertainty of platelet supply and demand,this paper proposes a platelet inventory management strategy between single blood center and multiple hospitals based on proactive transshipment,uses Approximate Dynamic Programming method and short-sighted strategy to solve the model,and analyzes the impact of transshipment decision on various cost parameters in platelet supply chain.Finally,the operation of platelet inventory system under three different transshipment strategies is comprehensively analyzed through an example,and the feasibility and superiority of proactive transshipment strategy are reflected through comparison.Secondly,based on the above research,this paper puts forward the platelet inventory management strategy of cross areas,compares and studies the platelet supply chain inventory management strategy between multiple blood centers and multiple hospitals,and establishes the corresponding mathematical model for planning and solving.By setting the priority of platelet transshipment in mega cities,this paper analyzes the effectiveness of the model strategy on the shortage of blood in high population density areas,and studies the effect of the transshipment strategy on the cost in the platelet supply chain.Finally,the sensitivity of model parameters such as cross areas transshipment capacity limit is analyzed,and the influence of different tansshipment strategies on the operation effect of platelet supply chain is analyzed through an example.The model results show that it is very effective to manage the platelet inventory system through proactive transshipment,which can effectively rebalance the platelet inventory under the conditions of stock age restriction and uncertain supply and demand,reduce the probability of platelet shortage and outdated,and then reduce the total cost of the inventory system.At the same time,by comparing the inventory system indicators under different strategies,it can be seen that the proactive transshipment strategy has strong practical significance and feasibility in reducing the shortage of platelet supply,outdated,and improving the guarantee ability of platelet.
