| Objective Based on the trans-theoretical model making a dietary health for peritoneal dialysis patients,to provide some theoretical guidance and ideas for improving dietary management behaviors of peritoneal dialysis patients. Methods This study was an experimental researc,90 peritoneal dialysis patients were selected from the Department of Nephrology,a third-class first-class hospital in Anhui Province.Using SPSS software, all the subjects were divided into intervention group and control group, with 45 cases in each group. The control group was given routine peritoneal dialysis diet management, while the intervention group was given diet management under the guidance of cross-theoretical model. The individual diet change behavior was divided into five stages, and intervention strategies were formulated according to the different needs of each stage. The intervention of the two groups was evaluated by using the "Peritoneal dialysis diet knowledge questionnaire","Renal Adherence Attitudes Questionnaire","Renal Adherence Behaviour Questionnaire".Results 1.A total of 90 peritoneal dialysis patients were enrolled in this study.During the study,3 patients left because of changing their contact information.Finally,87 patients completed this study, including 44 patients in the intervention group and 43 patients in the control group. The average age of the experimental group was(53.32±7.739)years,The average age of the control group was(50.28±8.116)years,and 37 cases(42%)had dialysis time ≥48 months.2.Comparison of baseline data between the two groups of patients: Before the intervention, there were specific and comparable differences in general sociological demographic data, biochemical indicators, diet knowledge, and compliance scores between the two groups of peritoneal dialysis patients(P<0.05).3.Comparison of the intervention effect of the total score of dietary knowledge: The dietary knowledge level of the two groups was improved after one month’s intervention. After three, six months intervention, the dietary knowledge score of the intervention group showed an upward trend, while the dietary knowledge level of the control group decreased with time. The difference between the two different intervention methods at different time points was statistically significant through repeated measurement analysis of variance(P<0.05).4.Comparison of intervention effect of total score of dietary compliance: The attitude and behavior of dietary compliance in the two groups were improved after one month’s intervention, and the dietary compliance in the intervention group showed an upward trend after three, six months intervention, while the dietary knowledge level in the control group decreased with time. The difference of scores between the two different intervention methods at different time points was statistically significant through repeated measurement analysis of variance(P<0.05).5.Comparison of dietary change stages between the two groups: before the intervention, the behavior change stage of the two groups was in the pre-intention stage. After six months of intervention, more patients in the intervention group(43.2%)entered the action and maintenance stage, while fewer patients in the control group(4.7%).Conclusions 1.the dietary health education program for peritoneal dialysis patients established based on the cross-theoretical model can improve the behavioral stage changesof peritoneal dialysis patients,so that the dietary management of patients in the unconscious stage gradually rises to the action and maintenance stage.2.The cross-theoretical dietary education can effectively improve the dietary knowledge of home peritoneal dialysis patients, form good dietary compliance attitudes, and promote dietary compliance behavior, and the effect is due to conventional health education. |
