| Objective: To investigate the association between Foot Ulcer healing and anxiety and depression in patients with Dabetic Foot Ulcer(DFU)and their accompanying relatives. Methods: The subjects of this study were 61 patients with DFU and their accompanying relatives admitted to the Endocrinology Department of the First Affiliated Hospital of Anhui Medical University. The patients with DFU and their accompanying relatives were assessed by the health questionnaire Depression Scale(PHQ-9)and the generalized Anxiety Scale(GAD-7),such as depression and anxiety.General information including age and sex, history of smoking, alcohol consumption, history of hypertension,Body Mass Index(BMI),glycated hemoglobin level(Hb A1c),DFU grade, and history of ulceration by DFU were also included in the questionnaire.According to anxiety and depression, the accompanying relatives of DFU patients were divided into mood disorder group and no mood disorder group, and the DFU treatment outcome(ulcer healing)was compared between the two groups.According to anxiety and depression,DFU patients were divided into mood disorder group and no mood disorder group, and the ulcer treatment outcome(ulcer healing)of DFU patients was compared between the two groups. Thus,we can have a fuller understanding of the mental health of patients and their relatives, know the relationship between the negative emotions of patients and their accompanying relatives, provide more comprehensive and detailed information for the majority of clinicians, enable them to realize early detection and treatment, early detection and early intervention, provide basis for clinical diagnosis and treatment, and add new therapies and interventions for the treatment of DFU.Results:1.After statistical analysis,it was found that there were no statistically significant differences in gender, smoking history, drinking history, age,BMI,systolic blood pressure, diastolic blood pressure, fasting blood glucose, glycosylated hemoglobin, diabetes course, ulcer duration and Wagner grade between the group with and without mood disorders(P > 0.05).Only the wound healing rate of DFU was significantly different(P = 0.006).2.Among the accompanying relatives of DFU patients, there was no significant difference in age, gender, education level and healing rate of foot ulcer between DFU patients’ relatives with mood disorder and those without mood disorder(P > 0.05).3.Pearson correlation analysis showed that mood disorders in DFU patients were negatively correlated with DFU wound healing rate(r=-0.348,P=0.006).There were no significant differences in age, smoking history, alcohol consumption history,BMI,SBP,DBP,FPG,Hb A1 c,diabetes course, ulcer duration and Wagner grading(P > 0.05).4.With wound healing rate as the dependent variable and general data collected as the independent variable,Logistic regression analysis showed that emotional disorder was the risk factor for wound healing.Conclusion:(1)Anxiety and depression are common in DFU patients.(2)The wound healing rate of DFU patients with mood disorders was significantly lower than that of DFU patients without mood disorders.(3)Emotional disturbance was a risk factor for wound healing rate in DFU patients. |
