Objective To investigate the changes in voice acoustic parameters before and after laryngoscopic microsurgery in female teachers with vocal cord polyps and their application in the assessment of surgical efficacy. Methods 31 female teachers with vocal fold polyps and 29 female non-teacher patients with vocal fold polyps were analyzed for voice acoustics using XION acoustic analysis software, and 30 healthy females with normal voices during the same period were used as the control group. The parameters of F0,SPL,Jitter,Shimmer,NHR,NNE,and DSI were selected, and the measured parameters were quantitatively evaluated to determine the patients’ postoperative voice recovery.Results(1)31 teachers with vocal fold polyps and 29 non-teachers with vocal fold polyps had higher fundamental Jitter,Shimmer,NHR,and NNE than normal control group before surgery, and lower DSI than normal control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P < 0.05);(2)There was no statistically significant comparison between the values of acoustic parameters of the voice of patients with vocal fold polyps in the teacher and non-teacher groups 1 week after surgery(P > 0.05),and there was a statistically significant comparison between the 2 groups and the normal control group(P< 0.05);(3)The values of acoustic parameters of voice in the non-teacher group with vocal fold polyps at 2 weeks postoperatively were not statistically significant compared with the normal group(P >0.05),while the F0,Jitter,SPL were not statistically significant in the teacher group(P >0.05),the Shimmer,NHR,NNE,and DSI were statistically significant(P <0.05);(4)Compared with the teacher group, the non-teacher group and the normal control group at 1 month after surgery, the differences in all acoustic parameters were not statistically significant(P > 0.05),and the voices basically returned to normal. Conclusions The voice acoustic parameters such as F0,SPL,Jitter,Shimmer,NHR,NNE,and DSI can be used as sensitive indexes to dynamically evaluate the surgical efficacy and voice function recovery of teachers with vocal fold polyps and non-teacher patients with vocal fold polyps after laryngoscopy microsurgery,Among them,Jitter,Shimmer,NHR,NNE,and DSI have greater significance and value.
