Objective: This study preliminarily explored the distribution of TCM constitution in patients with cervical spondylosis and its correlation with clinical data,in order to provide theoretical support for TCM intervention and treatment of the disease. Methods: A total of 342 patients diagnosed with cervical spondylosis at the outpatient clinic of orthopedics and Tuina department, the First Affiliated Hospital of Heilongjiang University of Chinese medicine(Heilongjiang,China)from November 2021 to November 2022 were selected,of whom 39 met the exclusion criteria and 303 were finally included.Collect general information about the patient: age, gender, daily maintenance time of a single posture, sleep pillow height, exercise habits, daily use of electronic products, desk work, living environment, history of throat infection, dietary habits, history of neck trauma, smoking history, emotional status and traditional Chinese medicine constitution. All data were recorded using Excel tables and analyzed using SPSS 26.0 statistical software.Result:1.In this study, cervical spondylosis was more common in middle-aged and elderly patients(68.97%);Gender is more common in females(51.82%);The majority of individuals(54.79%)maintained a single posture for more than 4 hours per day;The majority of patients without a history of throat infection(50.83%);The majority of patients in the living environment are humid(36.96%)and windy cold(36.30%).In addition, there are more patients with pillow discomfort, lack of exercise,long-term use of electronic products>2h/day,long-term desk work, eating preferences, neck trauma, smoking history, negative emotions.2.In this study, the distribution of patients’ main constitution was as follows: Yang deficiency(23.76%)>Blood stasis(16.83%)>Phlegm dampness(16.50%)>Peace(15.18%)>Qi deficiency(9.57%)>Damp heat(7.92%)>Qi stagnation(5.94%)>Yin deficiency(3.30%)>Intrinsic constitution(0.99%);In addition,45 patients in this study had a moderate constitutio n and 258 had a biased constitution.Among the biased constitutions, there were 186 cases of single biased constitution, accounting for 61.40% of the total constitution; There were 72 cases of partial constitution, accounting for 23.70% of the total constitution;Among the partial constitution with both yin and yang deficiency, the frequency of the constitution with both yin and yang deficiency was the highest(31.90%),followed by phlegm dampness(23.60%)and blood stasis(18.10%);The type of constitution with the highest frequency of being trapped is Qi stagnation(36.11%),which is mainly trapped in phlegm dampness and blood stasis. The second is Qi deficiency(34.72%),which is mainly sandwiched in Yang deficiency.3.In patients with this disease, blood stasis is more common in women, with a single posture of more than 4 hours per day, high discomfort with sleeping pillows,long-term desk work, dietary preference, and neck trauma;Phlegm dampness is commonly seen in men,middle-aged people, living in humid environments, and smoking history;Yang deficiency is commonly seen in old age, inactivity, and living in windy and cold environments;Qi depression is more common in women and negative emotions;Damp heat is common in women and young people;Deficiency of qi is common in people who do not exercise and use electronic products for a long time>2h/day;Yin deficiency is commonly seen in people with a history of smoking.Conclusions:1.Patients with cervical spondylosis tend to have a biased TCM constitution, with a relatively large proportion of yang deficiency, blood stasis, and phlegm dampness in the main constitution distribution, which may increase the risk of disease.2.Among patients with complex constitution, the types of constitution are yang deficiency+qi deficiency, phlegm dampness+qi stagnation, blood stasis+qi stagnation, and other complex constitution have a higher risk of disease.3.Blood stasis is associated with women, single posture of more than 4hours per day, high discomfort with sleeping pillows,long-term desk work, dietary preference, and neck trauma; There is a correlation between phlegm and dampness quality and male,middle-aged,living in a humid environment, and smoking history; There is a correlation between qi depression and female and negative emotions;Damp heat quality is correlated with women and youth;Yang deficiency is related to old age, inactivity, and living in a cold environment;Qi deficiency is associated with inactivity and electronic product use of more than 2h/day;Yin deficiency is associated with a history of smoking; It can provide reference for guiding patients to adjust their lives and work styles to prevent and treat the disease.4.There were no significant correlation factors between the calmness and intrinsic quality of patients with cervical spondylosis.
