Clinical Efficacy Of Danggui Xiaofeng Decoction In Treating Diabetes Mellitus With Skin Pruritus(Blood Deficiency And Wind Dryness Type)

Objective:In this study,the clinical efficacy of Danggui Xiaofeng decoction in the treatment of diabetic patients with skin pruritus(blood deficiency and wind dryness type)was observed through a controlled clinical trial,and the safety of its clinical application was evaluated,providing a new basis for the treatment of diabetic patients with skin pruritus.Methods:A total of 80 patients who met the diagnostic criteria of diabetes combined with pruritus(blood deficiency and wind dryness type)in our hospital were randomly divided into control group and treatment group,40 patients in each group.Patients in both groups received basic treatment: diabetes education,lifestyle adjustment,blood glucose monit oring,and glucose-lowering treatment.In the control group: basic treatment + Ebastine tablets,and in the treatment group: basic treatment+ Danggui Xiaofeng Decoction,the treatment cycle was 4 weeks.The scores of itching symptoms and signs,TCM syndrome scores,dermatological life quality index(DLQ I)scores,fasting blood glucose(FBG),2-hour postprandial blood glucose(2h PG)and glycated albumin(GA)were observed and recorded in the two groups before and after treatment.The SPSS26.0statistical software was also applied to analyze the relevant data and evaluate the clinical efficacy and safety of Danggui Xiaofeng Decoction.Results:1.Comparison of pruritic symptoms and signs scores and efficacy: After treatment,the pruritic symptoms and signs sco res of both groups were lower than those before treatment(P<0.05),and the treatment group was significantly better than the control group(P<0.05).The total effective rate of pruritus symptoms and signs in the treatment group and the control group were 92.50% and 81.08%,respectively,and the treatment group was better than the control group(P<0.05).2.Comparison of TCM symptoms and efficacy: After treatment,the total TCM symptom points of both groups were lower than those before treatment(P<0.05),and the treatment group was better than th e control group(P<0.05).After treatment,the individual symptom scores of both groups decreased compared with those before treatment(P<0.05),and the treatment group was better than the control group in improving d ryness of the throat and mouth,irritability,thirst for water,tiredness,palpitations,numbness of the hands and feet,and dizziness(P<0.05);there was no significant difference between the treatment group and the control group in improving the symptoms of insomnia and dreaminess and dry stools(P>0.05).The total effective rate of TCM symptoms in the treatment group and the control group were 90.00% and 72.97%,respectively,and the treatment group was significantly better than the control group(P<0.05).3.Comparison of DLQI scores: The DLQI score values of both groups decreased after treatment compared with those before treatment(P<0.05),and the treatment group was better than the control group(P<0.05).4.Comparison of blood glucose-related indexes: FBG,2h PG,and GA levels in both groups decreased after treatment compared with those before treatment(P<0.05),and the treatment group improved FBG and GA levels better than the control group(P<0.05),and there was no significant difference in improving 2 h PG in the treatment group compared with the control group(P>0.05).5.Safety indexes: Two groups of patients before and after treatment the blood,urine,stool routine,liver and kidney function,and no obvious abnormal electrocardiogram,no adverse reactions during treatment.Conclusion:1.Danggui Xiaofeng decoction can reduce the score of pruritus symptoms and signs in patients with diabetes mellitus combined with pruritus(blood deficiency and wind dryness),and significantly improve the symptoms and signs of pruritus.2.Danggui Xiaofeng decoction can reduce the TCM symptoms score of patients with diabetes mellitus combined with pruritus(blood deficiency and wind dryness),and improve the TCM clinical symptoms such as dry throat and mouth,heart irritation,thirst and drin king,and palpitation.3.Danggui Xiaofeng decoction can reduce the DLQI scores of patients with diabetes combined with pruritus(blood deficiency and wind dryness)and improve the quality of life of patients.4.Danggui Xiaofeng decoction can improve the FBG and GA levels of patients with diabetes combined with pruritus(blood deficiency and wind dryness),which is beneficial to blood sugar control.
