Objective:To explore the effect of scalp acupuncture combined with Early Start Denver Model on social interaction, emotion and abnormal behavior of children with autism spectrum disorder, and enrich the content and form of ASD rehabilitation treatment. Methods:Forty children with autism spectrum disorder(ASD),aged 3-5 years, were selected and randomly divided into experimental group and control group with 20 persons in each group. The control group received the Early Start Denver Model(ESDM),and the intervention time led by the rehabilitation therapist was 2.5h per day,6 days per week, lasting for 12 weeks. In addition, the parents of the child had family ESDM intervention under the guidance of the therapist,2 hours a day.The experimental group was treated with cluster needling of scalp points on the basis of ESDM,and the needles were retained for 6h,and twist every 1 hour during needle retention.6 times/week,lasting for 12 weeks. In addition, the parents of the child had family ESDM intervention under the guidance of the therapist,2 hours a day.The social interaction ability of children with ASD was evaluated by Social Response Scale(SRS)and Social Skills Assessment Scale for Autistic Children(ASSS);The emotions of children with ASD were assessed by CEAS-P,the preschool emotional Adjustment Scale, and ERC,the emotional regulation Checklist. The abnormal behavior of children with ASD was evaluated by the Abnormal Behavior Scale(ABC).Results:There was no significant difference between the two groups before intervention(P>0.05).1.Compared with before intervention, the social cognition, social communication, social motivation, autistic behavior style and total score of the SRS scale of the two groups of ASD children after intervention were lower(P<0.05).Compared with the control group, the social cognition, social communication, autistic behavior and the total score of the experimental group after intervention were lower, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).2.Compared with before intervention, the social tendency, social cognition, social participation,self-regulation,social communication and total score of the ASSS scale of the two groups of ASD children after intervention were higher.Compared with the control group, the social participation, social communication and total score of the experimental group after intervention were higher, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).3.Compared with before intervention, the CEAS-P scores of the two groups of ASD children after intervention were higher in temper control, social self-confidence,anxiety control and total scores.Compared with the control group, after intervention, the experimental group had higher scores of temper control, anxiety control and total score, with a statistically significant difference(P<0.05).4.Compared with those before intervention, the ERC scale scores of ASD children in both groups after intervention were higher, and the unstable/negative scores were lower.Compared with the control group, the emotional regulation score of the experimental group after intervention was higher, and the unstable/negative score was lower, with a statistically significant difference(P<0.05).5.Compared with before intervention, the social interaction dimension, physical movement dimension, language dimension,self-care dimension and total score of ABC score of ASD children in the two groups after intervention were lower.Compared with the control group, the sensory dimension, social interaction dimension, physical movement dimension and total score of the experimental group after intervention were lower, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:1.Early Start Denver Modelfor autism spectrum disorder can effectively improve the social interaction ability of children with ASD,regulate children’s emotions, and improve abnormal behavior.2.The cluster needling of scalp points combined with Early Start Denver Model is superior to the simple early intervention Denver model in improving the core symptoms of children with ASD. |
