Clinical Observation Of The Electroacupuncture Hand Meridian Junctions Therapy Treat Hand Motor Dysfunction (Spasticperiod)

OBJECTIVEObserving the clinical effect of electroacupuncture hand meridian junctions in treating hand motor dysfunction after stroke(spastic period)provides a new idea for the clinical treatment of this disease.METHODSSixty-four patients with hand motor dysfunction after stroke(spasticity)were randomly divided into the electroacupuncture hand meridian junctions group and the electroacupuncture traditional points group,with 32 patients in each group.Both groups were treated with electric acupuncture for 30 min,twice a day,6 days a week,for 4 weeks.Through the electroacupuncture hand meridian junctions group,the thumb extension node and finger abduction nodes(4 points of one hand),and the electroacupuncture traditional acupoints group stabbed the Waiguan,Yangchi,Daling,Hegu penetrating Houxi points.Efficacy was determined by a modified Ashworth Spasticity rating Scale(MAS),clinical degree score of Neurological deficits in China,active range of wrist and hand joint(AROM),and simplified Fugl-Meyer motor function score(FMA)(hand part).RESULTS1.After treatment,AROM and FMA in the electroacupuncture hand meridian junctions group and electroacupuncture traditional points group were improved compared with those before treatment(P﹤ 0.05),the degree of clinical neurological deficit and MAS score decreased than those before treatment(P ﹤ 0.05).After treatment,MAS,AROM,FMA,and clinical neurological deficit in the electroacupuncture hand meridian junctions group were better than those in the electroacupuncture traditional points group(P﹤0.05).2.Compared with the clinical efficacy,the total effective rate of the electroacupuncture hand meridian junctions group was 90.32%(28 / 31),and that of the electroacupuncture traditional points group was 66.67%(20 / 30),indicating that the clinical efficacy of electroacupuncture hand meridian junctions group was better than that of electroacupuncture traditional points group(P﹤ 0.05).CONCLUSION1.Electroacupuncture hand meridian junctions therapy and the electroacupuncture traditional acupoints therapy are effective in the treatment of hand motor dysfunction after stroke(spastic period),and the effect of electroacupuncture hand meridian junctions therapy is better than that of electroacupuncture traditional points therapy.2.Electroacupuncture hand meridian junctions therapy can reduce the degree of spasm and the symptoms of neurological deficit.3.Electroacupuncture hand meridian junctions therapy can increase joint mobility,improve hand motor function.
