| ObjectiveAnalysis of the value of magnifying endoscopy narrow band imaging(ME-NBI)combined with biopsies in the diagnosis of early gastric cancer(EGC).MethodsThis retrospective study selected 72 cases who were suspected early gastric cancer in gastric mucosa by ordinary white light endoscopy from January 2019 to December2021 in our hospital, all the cases received endoscopic resection including endoscopic submucosal dissection or resection(ESD/EMR).seventy two cases were divided into two groups according to the last different preoperative endoscopic biopsies technologies, including conventional white light endoscopy(WLE)plus biopsies group(n=36)and magnifying endoscopy narrow band imaging(ME-NBI)plus biopsies group(n=36).The consistent rate between preoperative biopsies and postoperative pathological diagnosis,as well as the accuracy, sensitivity, specificity, positive predictive value and negative predictive value in the diagnosis of early gastric cancer in the two groups were counted respectively, and analysis comparison.ResultsIn the WLE biopsies group, the consistency rate between preoperative biopsies diagnosis results and postoperative pathological results was 77.8%,with moderate consistency(kappa value was 0.556).In the ME-NBI combined biopsies group, the consistency rate of preoperative biopsies diagnosis and postoperative pathological results was 97.2%,which was almost completely consistent(kappa value was 0.941).and the difference was statistically significant. The accuracy, sensitivity, specificity, positive predictive value and negative predictive value of WLE biopsies group were 77.8%,55.6%,100%,100%and 69.2% respectively,In the ME-NBI biopsies group, the accuracy, sensitivity, specificity, positive predictive value and negative predictive value were 97.2%,92.9%,100%,100%and 95.7% respectively. There were significant differences in accuracy, sensitivity and negative predictive value between the two groups(P <0.05),There was no differences in specificity and positive predictive value.ConclusionThe application of magnifying endoscopy narrow band imaging combined with biopsies in suspicious lesions of gastric mucosa can improve the detection rate of early gastric cancer, with high accuracy, sensitivity, negative predictive value, and high consistency with postoperative pathological results, which is worthy of popularization and application in suspicious lesions of gastric mucosa. |
