ObjectiveTo explore the correlation between different metabolic volume parameters of 18fluoro-fluorodeoxyglucose(18F-FDG)PET/CT and serum squamous cell carcinoma antigen(SCC-Ag)on clinical staging of cervical cancer, and to provide reference for accurate clinical staging of cervical cancer. To provide reliable basis for accurate individual treatment of cervical cancer.MethodsA retrospective study was conducted on 85 newly diagnosed cervical cancer patients admitted to the First Affiliated Hospital of Bengbu Medical College from July2008 to December 2021.All patients were found to have squamous cell carcinoma by pathological biopsy.According to different clinical stages, they were divided into stage Ⅰ group(4 cases, clinical phase Ⅰ),stage II group(24 cases, clinical phase Ⅱ),stage Ⅲ group(49 cases, clinical phase Ⅲ)and stage IV group(8 cases, clinical phase Ⅳ).All patients underwent 18F-FDG PET/CT general imaging and serum SCC-Ag detection before treatment, and the imaging results were determined by visual method and semi-quantitative analysis.ResultsA total of 85 patients were included in this study and divided into 4 groups according to different clinical stages, with no statistically significant difference between age and group(P>0.05),and no significant correlation. There was no significant statistical difference between the SCC-Ag value and the group(P>0.05),and no significant correlation. There was no statistically significant difference in the SUVmax value of FDG ingested by patients in different groups and lesions of different stages(P>0.05),while the metabolic volume parameter glucose metabolic volume(MTV value)of FDG ingested by patients in the four groups was significantly different(P<0.05).At the same time, there were significant differences in the metabolic volume parameter TLG of FDG uptake among the four groups(P<0.05),and there were significant differences in serum SCC-Ag values among the four groups(P<0.05).Further Spearman moment correlation analysis showed that the metabolic volume parameters MTV,TLG and SCC-Ag ingested by FDG were correlated with clinical staging, and the values of MTV,TLG and SCC-Ag also increased with the increase of staging, while SUVmax ingested by FDG was not significantly correlated with clinical staging. At the same time,FDG was positively correlated with the metabolic volume parameters MTV,TLG and SCC-Ag.ConclusionIn untreated patients with newly diagnosed cervical cancer, the metabolic volume parameters MTV and TLG of 18F-FDG were significantly positively correlated with clinical stage and SCC-Ag value, and the values of MTV,TLG and SCC-Ag increased with the increase of stage. Therefore,we believe that the metabolic volume parameters MTV and TLG of 18F-FDG have important value in predicting the clinical stage and SCC-Ag value of newly diagnosed patients with untreated cervical cancer. |
