| Objective: Through the consistency analysis of Angio Planewave Ultra Sensitive Imaging(AP)and contrast-enhanced ultrasound(CEUS)in the evaluation of neoangiogenesis in carotid artery plaques to discuss the diagnostic value of AP in the evaluation of neoangiogenesis in carotid artery plaques. To analyze the possible risk factors of neoangiogenesis in carotid plaque.Method: In this study,115 cases of 89 patients in the Fifth Affiliated Hospital of Xinjiang Medical University were diagnosed as carotid hypoechoic plaques or mixed echoic plaques dominated by hypoechoic plaques by conventional carotid color ultrasound.General clinical data of the patients were collected. After signing the informed consent for angiography,AP and CEUS were performed to show the new blood vessels inside the plaques.According to CEUS and AP scoring standards(0,1,2),Kappa value was calculated to evaluate the consistency of neovascularization detected by AP and CEUS in plaques.Result: Among 115 plaques,78 cases of AP showed neoangiogenesis, while 88 cases of CEUS showed neoangiogenesis. There were 93 consistent AP and CEUS scores. The two methods had good consistency, and Kappa=0.71 was calculated. In the comparison of general data between negative and positive patients with carotid plaque neoangiogenesis, there were statistically significant differences in gender, smoking, diabetes, and diastolic blood pressure(P<0.05).Conclusion: Angio Planewave Ultra Sensitive Imaging can detect the neoangiogenesis in carotid plaque and conduct semi-quantitative analysis, which is a feasible and effective method for the diagnosis of vulnerable carotid plaque.Patients’ gender, smoking, diabetes, and increased diastolic blood pressure were correlated with new blood vessels in carotid plaque. |
