The Clinical Observation And Quality Of Life Evaluation Of Treating Urticaria With Gegen Decoction

Objective:To observe the efficacy and safety of the treating of urticaria(wind-cold syndrome)by Gegen Decoction,and to evaluate the quality of life of patients who have urticaria(wind-cold syndrome)before and after the treatment,and to provide a theoretical basis for clinical syndrome differentiation in TCM.Methods:Sixty and six patients with urticaria(wind and cold syndrome)diagnosed at the outpatient clinic of the TCM Hospital of Xinjiang Medical University from December 2021 to January 2023.They were collected randomly,and they were divided into 2 groups,Treatment group and Control group,There were 33 patients in Treatment group,and There were 33 patients in Treatment group too.Treatment group: Gegen Decoction and Desloratadine Citrate Disodium Capsules,Control group:Desloratadine Citrate Disodium Capsules.Patients in both groups were treated for 2 weeks,and their UAS and DLQI scores were recorded before and after the treatment,contrasting the pre-and post-treatment differences,To evaluate its clinical efficacy,Patients were followed up after 1 additional month for recurrence and recorded.Results:(1)Baseline data: A total of 64 cases were collected in this study.There were 31 cases in the treatment group of Gegen Decoction and Desloratadine Citrate Disodium Capsules,and 33 cases in the Desloratadine Citrate Disodium Capsulesgroup.In terms of demography characteristics,there were no statistically difference between two groups in terms of sex and age(P>0.05),and in terms of urticaria symptoms,there was no statistically significant difference in terms of disease duration,rash color,attack time and other indicators(P>0.05).(2)efficacy of Clinical treatment: In the treatment group,8 cases were cured,It accounting for 25.81%,11 cases were significantly effective,It accounting for 35.48%;In the control group,4 cases were cured,It accounting for 12.12%,,7 cases were significantly effective,It accounting for21.21%;in the treatment group,96.77% of the total clinical effective rate,It was better than 72.73% of the control group,The difference were statistically significant(P<0.05).(3)Observation index UAS change: Between the 2 groups,before treatment,there was no significant difference in the UAS scores.(P>0.05).The UAS score of patients in the two groups at 2 and 6 weeks after treatment was lower than the time of before treatment,in the treatment group,the change was more obvious than the control group at the same time.Above all,there were statistically significant in diierence(P<0.05);(4)Observation index DLQI change: between two groups before treatment,There were no significant difference in DLQI score(P>0.05),and the DLQI score of patients in the two groups at 2 and 6weeks after treatment was lower than the time before treatment(P<0.05).;(5)Recurrence:In the treatment group,There was no recurrence after 6 weeks of treatment,In the control group,there were 2 cases of recurrence after 6 weeks of treatment.The recurrence rate was0% of the treatment group,and the recurrence rate was 50% of the control group,The recurrence rate of treatment group was significantly lower than the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusions:(1)In the treatment group,The UAS and DLQI indexes were both better than the control group,The clinical effect of Gegen Decoction combined with Desloratadine Citrate Disodium Capsules is better than that of Desloratadine Citrate Disodium Capsules alone was proved;(2Above all,In the treatment of urticaria(wind-cold syndrome),Gegen Decoction has a certain effect on the improvement of UAS and DLQI,which can reduce recurrence,and safe and reliable.
