Clinical Study On Treatment Of Allergic Rhinitis In Children(Lung Meridian Latent Heat Type)with Qingfei Tongqiao Decoction Combined With Pressing Needle

Objective:To explore the clinical efficacy and advantages of Qingfei Tongqiao Decoction combined with pressing needle in the treatment of allergic rhinitis in children(lung meridian latent heat type).Methods:Sixty children who met the inclusive criteria in this study were divided into two groups using random number table.There were 30 cases in the control group and 30 cases in the treatment group.The oral administration of loratadine syrup combined with external application of mometasone furoate aqueous nasal spray was used in the control group.While the oral administration of Qingfei Tongqiao Decoction was used in the treatment group,the press-needle treatment was also used.The treatment duration in both groups was two weeks,and the patients were followed-up 3 months after the end of the treatment.The data results of the two groups before and after treatment were recorded.Observation indicators included main syndrome score,secondary syndrome score,physical sign score,total TCM syndrome score,change of absolute value of acid granulocyte,curative effect of TCM syndrome and recurrence rate.Record the occurrence of adverse reaction events.SPSS26.0 was used for statistical analysis of the collected data.Results:1.Comparison of main symptoms and syndromes.Intra-group comparison:After treatment,the scores of single main symptom complex of two groups were all decreased,with statistical difference(P<0.05).Inter-group comparison:The scores of single main symptom in two groups had no statistical difference after treatment(P>0.05),but there was a statistical difference during the follow-up period(P<0.05).The two groups of treatment regimens showed good efficacy in improving the nasal symptoms(nasal congestion,sneezing,nasal discharge,and nasal itching),but the longterm efficacy in the treatment group was superior to that in the control group.2.Comparison of syndrome integral of secondary symptoms.Intra-group comparison:After treatment,the scores of single symptom complex were decreased in the treatment group with statistical difference(P<0.05).In the control group,there was no significant difference after treatment(P>0.05).Inter-group comparison:The scores of single symptom in two groups were significantly different after treatment and during the followup period(P<0.05).The treatment group was superior to the control group in improving the symptoms of latent heat in the lung meridian(vexed heat,thirst,dry throat,dry stool,and bloody nasal discharge)and the long-term curative effect.3.Sign integral comparison.Intra-group comparison:The physical sign scores of children in the treatment group decreased after the treatment,with a statistical difference(P<0.05),and there was no statistical difference between after treatment and the follow-up period(P>0.05).In the control group,the difference was statistically significant after treatment as compared with that before treatment(P<0.05),and the difference was statistically significant after treatment as compared with that in the follow-up period(P<0.05).Inter-group comparison:The sign scores of two groups showed no statistical difference after treatment(P>0.05),but showed statistical difference during the follow-up period(P<0.05).The two treatment regimens had similar effects on the improvement of turbinate enlargement in children,but the long-term efficacy in the treatment group was superior to that in the control group.4.Comparison of total scores of TCM syndromes.Intra-group comparison:After treatment,the total scores of TCM syndromes in the two groups were all decreased,with statistical difference(P<0.05).Inter-group comparison:The total TCM syndrome scores of the two groups were significantly different after treatment and in the follow-up period(P<0.05).The two groups of treatment in improving children’s total TCM syndrome scores were effective,but the treatment group was better than the control group.5.Comparison of laboratory indexes.Intra-group comparison:Compared within the two groups before and after treatment,the absolute value of eosinophils and serum specific IgE content decreased significantly with statistical difference(P<0.05).Inter-group comparison:There was no significant difference in the absolute value decrease of eosinophils between the two groups after treatment(P>0.05).The two groups of children were both effective in reducing the absolute value of eosinophils and serum specific IgE,with similar efficacy.6.Comparison of curative effects of TCM syndromes.After two weeks of treatment,the effective rates of the treatment group and the control group were 90%and 80%,respectively,and the treatment group was superior to the control group with statistical difference(P<0.05).The treatment group was better than the control group.7.Comparison of recurrence rate.Three months after treatment,the recurrence rate in the treatment group was lower than that in the control group(P<0.05).8.Comparison of Adverse Reaction Events.During the treatment,two children in the experimental group experienced slight nausea,and the incidence of adverse reactions was 6.7%.However,two children in the control group experienced slight nausea,three children experienced headache and dizziness,and two children experienced epistaxis.The incidence of adverse reactions was 26.7%,and the children could continue to receive treatment after symptomatic treatment.The significant difference between the two groups indicated that the incidence of adverse reactions in the experimental group was lower than that in the control group,and the safety was higher.Conclusions:1.The overall curative effect of self-made Qingfei Tongqiao Decoction combined with pressing needle in the treatment of allergic rhinitis in children(lung meridian latent heat type)is superior to that in the control group.2.Self-made Qingfei Tongqiao Decoction combined with pressing needles could effectively improve the symptoms,physical signs and TCM syndromes of children with allergic rhinitis(lung meridian latent heat type),reduce the absolute value of eosinophils and serum specific IgE,and the longterm efficacy was superior to that in the control group.3.Self-made Qingfei Tongqiao Decoction combined with pressing needle can effectively reduce the recurrence rate of children with allergic rhinitis(lung meridian latent heat type).
