Objective:Taking the patients with moderate carotid artery stenosis as the research object,through the random control between the moxa tube needle group and the western medicine group,objective evaluation of the efficacy and safety of moxa tube needle in the intervention of moderate carotid artery stenosis.Methods:According to the ethics,design principles and statistical principles of clinical trials,60 patients who met the inclusion criteria were collected and randomly divided into control group(n=30)and observation group(n=30).The control group was treated with aspirin enteric-coated tablets,and Atto vastatin calcium tablets were selected for lipid-lowering treatment.On the basis of the control group,the observation group was treated with moxa tube needle.The changes of degree of carotid stenosis,internal diameter of common carotid artery,IMT value,plaque improvement,blood lipid indexes,high sensitivity C-reactive protein,D-dimer and lipoprotein-associated phospholipase A2 were observed before and after treatment,and the patients were followed up within 3 months after treatment to observe the onset of clinical symptoms of carotid artery stenosis.Results:1.Comparison of baseline data before treatment between the two groups:there was no significant difference(P> 0.05)in sex,age,related risk factors,underlying disease,internal diameter of common carotid artery,IMT,plaque formation rate,blood lipid level,high sensitivity C-reactive protein,lipoprotein-associated phospholipase A2 and D-dimer between the two groups.2.Comparison of the degree of carotid artery stenosis: mild carotid stenosis was found in 3 cases(10.0%)and moderate stenosis in 27 cases(90.0%)in the control group,and mild carotid stenosis in 8 cases(26.7%)and moderate stenosis in 22 cases(83.3%)in the observation group.There was no significant difference in the curative effect between the two groups(P >0.05).3.Internal diameter of internal carotid artery: the internal diameter of common carotid artery in the control group was significantly different from that before treatment(P<0.01).There was significant difference in the internal diameter of common carotid artery in the observation group after treatment and before treatment(P<0.01).There was a significant difference in the internal diameter of the common carotid artery between the two groups after treatment(P<0.05).4.IMT value: The carotid IMT value was compared in the control group,and the efficacy after treatment and before treatment was not statistically significant(P>0.05);the carotid IMT value in the observation group was significantly different between the treatment and before treatment,which was statistically significant(P<0.01);the IMT value after treatment between the two groups was significantly different(P<0.01).5.Comparison of plaque improvement: plaque improved in 6 cases(33.3%)and no improvement in 12 cases(66.7%)in the control group,11cases(68.8%)in the observation group and 5 cases(31.2%)in the observation group.there was significant difference between the two groups(P < 0.05).6.Lipids: There were significant differences between the two groups after treatment with TG,TC and LDL-C after treatment and before treatment(P<0.01),and there were significant differences before and after HDL-C treatment,which was statistically significant(P<0.01);after treatment,TG,TC,LDL-C,HDL-C was significantly different and statistically significant(P<0.01 or P<0.05).7.High sensitivity C-reactive protein: There was significant difference between the two groups before and after treatment(P < 0.01),and there was significant difference between the two groups after treatment(P < 0.05).8.Lipoprotein-associated phospholipase A2: there was significant difference in lipoprotein-associated phospholipase A2 between the two groups before and after treatment(P < 0.01),and there was significant difference between the two groups after treatment(P < 0.01).9.D-dimer: there was significant difference in D-dimer between the two groups before and after treatment(P < 0.01).,and there was significant difference in D-dimer between the two groups after treatment(P < 0.01).Conclusions:1.Moxa tube acupuncture can improve the internal diameter of common carotid artery,IMT value of carotid artery and plaque in patients with moderate carotid stenosis.2.Moxa tube acupuncture can improve blood lipid index,high sensitivity C-reactive protein,lipoprotein-associated phospholipase A2 and D-dimer in patients with moderate carotid stenosis.
