ObjectiveTo understand the mental health status of patients with essential hypertension and the correlation between the course and grade of essential hypertension and mental health level, anxiety and depression. To provide scientific basis for developing appropriate psychological intervention measures for hypertension patients。MethodsA total of 500 patients diagnosed with essential hypertension from January 1,2022 to June 31,2022 are selected from Bengbu City,Anhui Province. All subjects are informed and agree to cooperate with the investigation.Patients with hypertension or their families can scan the QR code on wechat,QQ or browser or click the website directly to enter the mini program to fill in the questionnaire, and submit it online after completing the questionnaire. All questions in the questionnaire are required, and each IP address can only be submitted once.Data was processed using SPSS22.0 statistical software.Count data is expressed as rate(%);Measurement data were expressed as’ x±s,and group t test was used for comparison between groups.P < 0.05 was considered to be statistically significant.Pearson correlation analysis showed that Pearson coefficient <0.3,no correlation,0.3~0.7 weak correlation,>0.7 strong correlation.ResultsThe total index of SCL-90 and the indexes of depression,anxiety,obsessive-compulsive symptoms, somatization, psychosis, interpersonal sensitivity, fear, paranoia and hostility of essential hypertension patients were higher than those of the national norm(P < 0.001).The Pearson correlation coefficient between the course of disease and the level of blood pressure in patients with essential hypertension and the anxiety index and depression index was between 0.3 and 0.7(P<0.001),showing a certain correlation. The Pearson correlation coefficient between blood pressure grade and SCL index in patients with essential hypertension was 0.3-0.7(P<0.001),showing a certain correlation.According to SAS anxiety scale and SDS depression scale, the scores of anxiety and depression in patients with essential hypertension were higher than the national norm(P<0.001).49.60% of the patients with essential hypertension had SAS scores greater than 50,22.40(112/500)of mild anxiety,17.00%(85/500)of moderate anxiety and 11.20%(56/500)of severe anxiety.38.75%(93/240)of male patients with hypertension scored more than 50 points, and 57.69%(150/260)of female patients with hypertension scored more than 50 points. The proportion of essential hypertension patients aged 36-45 years old,46-55 years old,56-65 years old and older than 65 years old with SAS scores greater than 50 points were 35.71%,45.74%,49.15% and 63.38%,respectively.36.40%(182/500)of patients with essential hypertension had SDS scores greater than 53.The proportion of mild depression was 23.40%(117/500),moderate depression was 8.60%(43/500)and severe depression was 4.4%(22/500).29.58%(71/240)of men with hypertension had an SDS score greater than 53 points, and 42.69%(111/260)of women with hypertension had an SDS score greater than 53 points. The Pearson correlation coefficient between the grade of essential hypertension and the course of essential hypertension and SAS anxiety level and SDS depression level was0.3-0.7(P<0.001),showing a certain correlation.Conclusion1.The mental health status of patients with essential hypertension is worse than that of healthy people;Female patients with essential hypertension were more prone to anxiety and depression than male patients with hypertension. The older the grade, the more likely it is to develop anxiety and depression disorder.2.The higher the blood pressure level of essential hypertension patients, the lower their mental health level; The higher the blood pressure level of essential hypertension patients, the more obvious anxiety and depression disorder; The longer the course of hypertension in patients with essential hypertension, the more obvious anxiety and depression disorder.
