| Objective To investigate the efficacy and safety of ultrasonic ciliary body plasty(UCP)combined with anti-VEGF injection in the treatment of neovascular glaucoma(NVG).Methods 30 patients(30 eyes)with NVG treated in the first affiliated Hospital of Bengbu Medical College from 2020 to 10 were selected. After admission, all patients were injected with anti-VEGF drugs(Leizumab). After operation,15 patients were randomly selected for UCP treatment and the other 15 patients underwent trabeculectomy. The postoperative follow-up period was 10 months.During each follow-up,the degree of decrease of intraocular pressure, the degree of postoperative pain and the occurrence of related complications were compared between the two groups.Result The intraocular pressure(IOP)and pain degree of affected eyes in UCP group and trabecular group were significantly lower than those before operation. The average intraocular pressure in the UCP group decreased from 50.37 ±8.49 mm Hg before operation to 32.22 ±14.8mm Hg at the 10 th month after operation, with a decrease of 36%.In the trabecular group, the IOP decreased from 49.3 ±7.98 mm Hg before operation to 33.66 ±11.96 mm Hg at the 10 th month after operation, with a decrease of 31.8%.The success rate of operation in both groups was 60%(9 + 15),and the difference was statistically significant. The complications in the UCP group were less than those in the trabecular group, and the most common complications were conjunctival congestion and edema, but the symptoms disappeared during the follow-up 1 week after operation. Two patients with persistent low intraocular pressure occurred in the trabecular group. After operation, the pain scores of both groups showed a downward trend. At the follow-up to 10 mo,the pain scores decreased from UCP group and trabecular group to UCP group and trabecular group. The difference was statistically significant. When the patients in both groups were followed up to 10 mo,there was no significant increase or decrease in BCVA(best corrected visual acuity)compared with that before operation. Conclusion Ultrasonic ciliary body plasty(UCP)combined with anti-VEGF injection can effectively control intraocular pressure and pain in patients with NVG with fewer complications and high safety. |
