Changes Of Retinal And Corneal Endothelium After Phacoemulsification In Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus With Cataract Patients

Objective:To investigate the changes of retina and corneal endothelium in type 2 diabetes mellitus with cataract after Phacoemufication & Intraocular len(Phaco + IOL).Methods: 152 patients with hemoglobin requirements were selected and divided into 3 groups,namely 52 cases(52eyes)in control group,48cases(48 eyes)in hypergly cosylated hemoglobin(Hb Alc)group,and 52 cases(52 eyes)in hypohbalc group.The best corrected visual acuity values of the 3 groups were recorded 7 days after surgery and 1 month after surgery.Meanwhile,corneal endothelial cell density,average cell area,and coefficient of variation of cell area were observed 7 days and 1 month after surgery using corneal endothelimeter,and the data were recorded and analyzed and compared using SPSS23.0.Macular central thickness(CSMT)was measured by optical coherence tomography(Spectralis OCT)at 7 days and 1 month after surgery.The data were recorded and analyzed using SPSS23.0.Results: 1.There was no significant difference between the three groups in terms of gender and ocular difference(P>0.05).2.After comparing the best corrected visual acuity 7 days and 1 month after surgery,the control group was better than the low Hb Alc group(P<0.001),low Hb Alc group was better than high Hb Alc group(P<0.001).3.CD decreased,AVE increased and CV increased in all patients 1 month after surgery compared with 7 days after surgery,(P<0.001),the difference was statistically significant.4.There was significant difference in CSMT among the three groups 7 days and 1monthafter surgery(P < 0.01);Comparing the CSMT of the three groups 1month after operation,it was found that the higher Hb Alc group in the low Hb Alc group was significantly thickened,and the low Hb Alc group was significantly thickened than the control group,and the thickness difference was statistically significant(P<0.001).After intra-group comparison,CSMT of the three groups was significantly higher than that of the three groups at 1month after surgery,with statistical significance(P<0.001).Conclusions: 1.Corneal endothelial cells are more likely to be damaged after Phaco + IOL treatment in type 2 diabetes mellitus with cataract,and the increase of retinal thickness is more obvious,and the postoperative recovery is relatively slow.2.The higher the Hb Alc,the higher the success rate of ME and the more serious the corneal endothelial injury.
