Objective: To study the correlation analysis between the expression level of eosinophil chemotactic factor(Eotaxin)in the serum of bronchial asthma patients and airway inflammation and lung function. Methods: Sixty patients with acute exacerbation of bronchial asthma in the Second Affiliated Hospital of Xinjiang Medical University and the Seventh Affiliated Hospital of Xinjiang Medical University from January 1,2022 to October 31,2022 were selected as the experimental group and were divided into eosinophilic asthma group(eosinophilic asthma,EA),neutroph-ilic asthma group(neutrophilic asthma),and neutrophilic asthma group(neutrophilic asthma)according to peripheral blood counts. The patients were divided into eosinophilic asthma(EA),neutrophilic asthma(NA),mixedgranulocytic asthma(MA)and paucigranulocytic asthma(PA)according to peripheral blood counts.Another 30 healthy adults with normal lung function,no airway hyperresponsiveness, nonsmokers and excluding other respiratory diseases were included in the same period.General data such as gender, age, smoking history, disease duration, disease severity,as well as airway inflammatory markers such as peripheral blood eosinophil count,IgE level and lung function were collected, and serum Eotaxin levels were measured by ELISA.The correlation between serum Eotaxin expression levels and airway inflammatory markers was analyzed, and the correlation between serum Eotaxin expression levels and FEV1,FEV1/FVC,FVC,and PEF was analyzed. Results: 1.A total of 61 asthma patients in the experimental group were classified by peripheral blood count airway inflammatory phenotype, and the phenotypic distribution inorder of proportion was EA 12 cases(19.7%),NA 26 cases(42.6%),PA 4 cases(6.6%),MA 19 cases(6.6%).2.Compared with the healthy control group, the asthma group had significantly higher neutrophil(Neu)count, eosinophil count(Eoscount),serum immunoglobulin(IgE)level was significantly higher, serum Eotaxin level content was higher, and pulmonary function FEV1/FVC,FEV1,FVC,and PEF were lower in the asthma group compared with the healthy control group.3.Neu count was higher in the NA and MA groups than in the control group,EA and PA groups;Eos count was higher in the EA and MA groups than in the control group,NA and PA;patients in the MA and PA groups Patients in EA and PA groups had significantly higher FEV1,FVC,FEV1/FVC and PEF than the other threegroups, with the lowest values in MA and NA groups;the variation rate in MA group was lower than the four groups of EA,NA,PA and control;the lung function 1 secondrate(FEV/FVC)in PA and EA groups were higher than that in NA and MA EA and MA groups FEV/FVC was slightly higher;plasma Eotaxin levels were higher in EA and MA groups than in NA and PA groups.eotaxin levels were positively correlated with Eos count and IgE,and negatively correlated with FEV1,FVC,FEV1/FVC and PEF.Conclusion: Significant differences in serum Eotaxin levels, lung function, and airway inflammatory markers expressed in patients with the four asthmatic airway inflammatory phenotypes and healthy controls,as well as the close correlation between serum Eotaxin levels and airway inflammatory markers and lung function, help to clarify the diagnosis early and to develop better individualized treatment plans for the differential expression of the four different inflammatory phenotypes. |
