three malignant tumors in gynecology. With the improvement of living standards and medical technology, the survival rate of patients with endometrial cancer is increasing, while the side effects of treatment and the impact of the disease itself make the patients suffer from different degrees of physiological and psychological pain.In the bio-psycho-social medical model, the quality of life of patients has been more and more important. In recent years, researchers have paid more and more attention to the social and psychological health of endometrial cancer patients, but there are few studies on their quality of life. Therefore, this study focuses on endometrial cancer patients, investigates the current status and influencing factors of quality of life in the population of endometrial cancer patients, explores the relationship between quality of life, perceived stress, and perceived social support, and tests whether perceived social support has a mediating effect between perceived stress and quality of life,in order to provide a theoretical basis for further research on the quality of life of endometrial cancer patients, and supply new ideas for subsequent intervention research improving patient quality of life. Methods:This was a cross-sectional study using the convenient sampling method to investigate 252 endometrial cancer patients in the department of gynecology of a third-class hospital in Shenyang,Liaoning Province from 2019 to 2020.217questionnaires(86.1%)were effectively collected. The questionnaire covers the demographic and clinical features of patients’endometrial cancer, the Functional Assessment of Cancer Therapy General Scale(FACT-G),Perceived Stress Scale 10(PSS-10)and Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support(MSPSS).Statistic analysis was carried out with IBM SPSS Statistics 21.0(IBM,Asia Analytics Shanghai)software.Endometrial cancer patients’quality of life was compared under different demographic and clinical characteristics by independent sample t-test and one-way ANOVA methods;the factors affecting the quality of life of endometrial cancer patients and the mediating role of endometrial cancer patients’perceived social support in perceived stress and quality of life were determined by Pearson correlation analysis, multiple hierarchical regression analysis and other methods. Finally,Process macro was used to verify and analyze the mediating role model. Results:The age of endometrial cancer patients was(58.04±7.06)years old in average, and the quality of life was(60.97±11.22)points in average score. The univariate analysis of variance of the endometrial cancer patients’quality of life of patients with showed that exercise and radiotherapy were significant factors affecting endometrial cancer patients’quality of life in total dimension(Pexercise<0.01,Pradiotherapy<0.05).The perceived stress was negatively correlated with endometrial cancer patients’quality of life and its dimensions(which included physiological,social/family,emotional and functional status)(P<0.01),perceived social support was positively correlated with quality of life and its dimensions(P<0.01),and perceived stress was negatively correlated with perceived social support(P<0.01).The perceived social support played a part of the intermediary role between of endometrial cancer patients’perceived stress and quality of life, and the intermediary effect is-0.0629,and its 95%confidence interval of-0.1584~-0.0139.The intermediary role of perceived social support accounted for 11.54%,and the endometrial cancer patients’perceived social support also played a part of the intermediary role in each sub-dimension of perceived stress and quality of life. Conclusion:In this research, endometrial cancer patients’quality of life in average score is lower than that of tumor patients;Exercise and radiotherapy affect endometrial cancer patients’quality of life as important factors; The perceived pressure has a negative impact on endometrial cancer patients’quality of life, and the perceived social support has a positive impact on their quality of life; The perceived social support of endometrial cancer patients plays a partial intermediary role between endometrial cancer patients’perceived stress and quality of life.In the future, intervention research on improving the quality of life of endometrial cancer patients can be carried out from the perspective of relieving patients’perceived stress and improving their ability to perceive social support to effectively improve their quality of life level. | | Keywords/Search Tags: | endometrial cancer patients, quality of life, perceived stress, perceived social support | PDF Full Text Request | Related items |
