Objective: The levels of Interleukin-29(IL-29)in peripheral blood of patients with Rheumatoid Arthritis(RA)and healthy subjects were measured and analyzed.Analysis of its relationship with Rheumatoid factor(RF),C-reactive protein(CRP),Erythrocyte sedimentation rate(ESR),and Disease Activity Score of 28 joints 28(DAS28)and Anti-Cyclic Citrullinated Peptide Antibody(Anti-CCP).Methods: Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA)was used to detect 101 patients with rheumatoid arthritis who were hospitalized in the rheumatology department of Shengjing Hospital of China Medical University from February 1,2022 to January 1,2023 according to the inclusion criteria and exclusion criteria. At the same time,95 healthy subjects received health examination in the same hospital. The levels of CRP,ESR,RF,anti-CCP antibody and IL-29 in peripheral blood of RA patients and healthy controls were analyzed at the first test.According to DAS28 score, the patients were divided into remission group, low activity group, moderate activity group and heavy activity group to compare the difference of IL-29 expression among different DAS28 groups. The correlation between serum IL-29 and DAS28,RF,ESR,CRP and anti-CCP antibody in overall RA patients, male RA patients and female RA patients was analyzed. Results: The serum level of IL-29 in RA patients was significantly higher than that in healthy controls(p < 0.01).There was a significant correlation between IL-29 and DAS28 scores in RA patients. The level of IL-29 in patients with high activity was significantly higher than that in patients with moderate activity(p < 0.001).In the patients with moderate activity, the IL-29 content ratio was significantly different from that in the low activity group(p < 0.001).The serum IL-29 level and ESR(r=0.684;p <0.01),CRP(r=0.601;p < 0.01),DAS28(r=0.874;p< 0.01),RF(r=0.371;p< 0.01)and anti-CCP antibody(r=0.509;p < 0.01).The serum IL-29 level in male RA patients was significantly correlated with ESR(r=0.611;p< 0.01),CRP(r=0.644;p< 0.01),DAS28(r=0.907;p< 0.01),RF(r=0.407;p< 0.01)and anti-CCP antibody(r=0.664;p< 0.01).The serum IL-29 level in female RA patients was significantly correlated with ESR(r=0.732;p< 0.01),CRP(r=0.580;p< 0.01),DAS28(r=0.877;p < 0.01),RF(r=0.276;p< 0.05)and anti-CCP antibody(r=0.406;p< 0.01).Conclusion: The results showed that the level of IL-29 in peripheral blood of RA patients was higher than that of healthy controls, and there was a certain correlation between the level of IL-29 in peripheral blood and the activity of the disease. The measurement of IL-29 in peripheral blood can be used as an effective monitoring method for the disease changes of RA patients. Therefore, the measurement of IL-29 in peripheral blood can effectively observe the disease of RA patients.Early treatment and active treatment of recurrence can improve the prognosis of patients. |
