Objective: To explore the effect of aquatic exercise rehabilitation on pain, shoulder mobility, muscle strength, function and negative emotions of patients with frozen shoulder, and to provide some reference for the rehabilitation treatment of patients with frozen shoulder in the future. Methods: From December 2021 to November 2022,30 patients with frozen shoulder in the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine,Shenzhen Prevention and Treatment Center for Occupational Diseases were selected. They were randomly divided into water group and routine group. The water group received aquatic exercise rehabilitation intervention, and the routine group received routine exercise rehabilitation intervention for 4 weeks. The visual analogue scale(VAS),The range of motion of flexion, abduction, extension, external rotation and internal rotation of the affected shoulder joint;the affected shoulder flexion, extension, abduction, adduction muscle strength;constant-murley score(CMS);shoulder pain and dysfunction index(SPADI)and self-rating anxiety scale(SAS)of the two groups was evaluated before and after 4weeks of intervention.SPSS25.0 software was used for data analysis.Quantitative data were analyzed by two independent sample t-test between groups and two paired sample t-test within groups.Qualitative data using chi-square test.Significant level P< 0.05.Results:(1)After intervention, the pain of the two groups was significantly reduced(P<0.05),and the water group was better than the routine group, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05);(2)After the intervention, the range of motion of shoulder joint increased in both groups. The range of motion of flexion, abduction, external rotation and internal rotation in the water group was better than the routine group(P<0.05),but there was no significant difference in the extension between the two groups(P>0.05);(3)After intervention, the muscle strength of the two groups increased(P<0.05),and the increase of extension muscle strength in the water group was better than that in the routine group(P<0.05),while the increase of flexion, abduction and adduction muscle strength was not significantly different from that in the routine group(P>0.05);(4)After intervention, the CMS scores of the two groups increased(P<0.05),and the water group was better than the routine group(P<0.05);in addition, the SPADI scores of the two groups increased after intervention(P<0.05),and the water group was better than the routine group(P<0.05);(5)After intervention, the SAS of the two groups decreased(P<0.05),but there was no significant difference between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion:(1)Both aquatic exercise rehabilitation and routine exercise rehabilitation can effectively reduce the pain of patients with frozen shoulder, increase the activity of shoulder joint, enhance muscle strength, improve function and negative emotions;(2)Aquatic exercise rehabilitation is superior to routine exercise rehabilitation in reducing the pain, increasing shoulder flexion, abduction, external rotation and internal rotation, enhancing the muscle strength of shoulder joint extension direction and improving function of patients with frozen shoulder.
