Study On The Type Of Medical Constitution And Related Factors In Patients With Small Airway Dysfunction

Objective:To study the distribution of TCM constitution in patients with small airway dysfunction,to explore the relationship between small airway lung function index and BMI,smoking,harmful substances and other factors,and to provide prevention and treatment basis for patients with small airway dysfunction from the aspect of traditional Chinese medicine.Methods:From January 2022 to January 2023,145 patients with small airway dysfunction in the respiratory department and physical examination center of our hospital were included in the study.The survey scale was distributed by the researchers on the spot and guided to fill in.Relevant information,specialist data,TCM constitution types and other data were collected to analyze the characteristics of TCM constitution in patients with small airway dysfunction,as well as the relationship between small airway indexes,constitution and related variable indexes.Results:1.The distribution of TCM constitution of 145 subjects was as follows:46 cases of phlegm-dampness constitution,25 cases of mild constitution,21 cases of yang deficiency constitution,20 cases of damp-heat constitution,10 cases of qi deficiency constitution,9cases of yin deficiency constitution,7 cases of special constitution,5 cases of qi stagnation constitution,2 cases of blood stasis constitution.The proportion of biased constitution in patients with small airway dysfunction was relatively high.The top three of biased constitution were phlegm-dampness constitution,yang deficiency constitution and damp-heat constitution,and blood stasis constitution was the least.2.Among the 145 subjects,123 were male patients and 22 were female patients.The distribution of TCM constitutions in different genders was different（P<0.05）.The male was mainly phlegm-dampness constitution,and the female was mainly yang deficiency constitution.3.The mean age of the subjects was（33.50±9.51）years old,of which the oldest was 68years old,the youngest was 22 years old,and the age span was large.There was a statistically significant difference in physical distribution between age groups（P<0.05）.People aged 18to 44 were mainly phlegm-dampness,and people aged 45 to 70 were mainly yang-deficiency.4.There were 25 cases with smoking history and 120 cases without smoking history;there were 44 cases of contact with harmful substances and 101 cases of non-contact.There was no significant difference in the distribution of different TCM constitutions with smoking and harmful substance exposure（P>0.05）.It is not considered that smoking and exposure to harmful substances in SAD patients have an impact on physical distribution.5.The mean BMI of the subjects was（24.82±3.56）kg/m²,the minimum was 16.1 kg/m²,the maximum was 37.2 kg/m²,and the BMI index distribution of each TCM constitution was different（P<0.05）.6.The BMI distribution of SAD patients with different severity was different（P<0.05）,and the BMI of patients with moderate small airway dysfunction was higher than that of patients with mild small airway dysfunction.7.According to BMI index classification,there were 5 cases of underweight,60 cases of normal weight,54 cases of overweight,26 cases of obesity,and the most cases of overweight and obesity.The distribution of FEF_75%and MMEF in different BMI grades was different（P<0.05）.The FEF_75%and MMEF of overweight and obese people were lower than those of lighter weight people,and the difference of FEF_50%in each group was not obvious.8.Different constitutions have different distribution of SAD severity（P<0.05）,mild patients are mainly phlegm-dampness,gentleness,damp-heat and qi deficiency,moderate patients are mainly phlegm-dampness,yang deficiency and damp-heat,severe patients are mainly damp-heat and phlegm-dampness,phlegm-dampness,damp-heat and yang deficiency are closely related to the degree of SAD.Conclusion:1.The TCM constitution type of patients with small airway dysfunction is mainly biased constitution,phlegm-dampness constitution,damp-heat constitution and yang-deficiency constitution may be the susceptible constitution of small airway dysfunction,phlegm-dampness constitution is the susceptible constitution of men,and yang-deficiency constitution is the susceptible constitution of women.2.The severity of small airway dysfunction is associated with high BMI,and FEF_75%and MMEF are lower in overweight and obese people.
