Research Of The Treatment Of Hemorrhoid With Chinese Medicine Based On Knowledge Graph And Visual Analysis

Objective:We collect and sort out the relevant literature on TCM treatment of hemorrhoids,clarify the current main methods of TCM treatment of hemorrhoids and their efficacy,find the core authors and institutions in this field,and grasp the development pulse of this field,in order to provide reference for the optimization of TCM treatment plan for hemorrhoids.Methods:The literature data were collected from China Knowledge Network(CNKI),and the search time was set to build the database until December 31,2022,and a total of 2700 titles were obtained from the exported literature titles.After screening by Note Express software and manual screening,2456 literatures were included,stored in Ref Works format and imported into Cite Space and VOSviewer respectively for processing,and finally the data and graph were exported for analysis in terms of annual publication volume,publication institution,publication author and keywords.Results:1.The earliest literature in this study appeared in 1955,experienced a dormancy in the 1960 s and 1970 s,steadily increased since the 1980 s,grew rapidly since 2009,and reached a peak of136 articles in 2019.2.There are 254 core authors with 3 or more publications in the field.There are 8 influential collaborative teams in the field,including 108 authors,and most of the authors are based in Shanghai.3.The top three research institutions in terms of number of publications are Chengdu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine,Shandong University of Traditional Chinese Medicine,and Guangzhou University of Traditional Chinese Medicine.A total of 10 institutions composed of 44 institutions are now assembled,and the collection of institutions is mostly confined to the two regions of Guangdong and Sichuan and Guizhou.4.Mixed hemorrhoids are the key research type of hemorrhoids;damp-heat infusion evidence is the hot evidence type in this field;herbal fumigation is the most commonly used treatment method;acupuncture point application and acupuncture treatment are the frontier of research in this field,among which Shen Que,Er Bai,and Ba Xiao are the most used in this field,mainly applied to improve symptoms such as pain and urinary retention;among the injection therapy,the most widely used is Anti-Hemorrhoid Ling injection;Rhubarb,Phellodendron leaf,and Wu Bei Zi have received the most attention in the research of Chinese herbal medicine for hemorrhoids;Sophora flower powder,Yixing cream and Jiu Hua cream are the most commonly used prescriptions for hemorrhoids;external peeling and internal ligation is the most widely used classical Chinese medicine procedure;postoperative complications are the hot directions of research in this field,among which pain,urinary retention and edema of the trabecular margin receive the most attention;the hot research method is clinical research and the frontier research method is basic research.Conclusion:1.The field of Chinese medicine for hemorrhoids is now at a flat growth stage,which indicates that the development of the field is already at a stage of dynamic equilibrium,and the knowledge framework is still lacking and needs to be further expanded and dug deeper.2.Authorship and institutional cooperation in the field of TCM for hemorrhoids are both weak and need to be further strengthened.3.Since the 1950 s,treatment methods were mainly based on withered hemorrhoid therapy,followed by the gradual rise of injection therapy.During the last two decades of the last century,herbal internal and ligation therapies dominated.At the beginning of this century,a hundred new procedures are emerging,and postoperative complications of hemorrhoids have become the focus of research.4.Chinese medicine fumigation is widely used in the current field,and treatment related to acupuncture is the hot spot of research in the last 4 years.5.In the past 2 years,basic research related to inflammatory factors and wound healing has emerged,aiming to reveal the relevant mechanisms at the molecular biology level and to better guide the clinical treatment and application of TCM.
