Objective:To observe the clinical effect of Huoxue Zhitong Decoction on elbow joint function recovery after ulna olecranon fracture,and to provide reference for elbow joint function recovery after ulna olecranon fracture.Methods:A total of 68 patients with ulna olecranon fracture and TCM dialectical syndrome of Bi and qi stagnation and blood stasis after Kirschner wire tension band operation were studied in the orthopedics ward of The Affiliated People’s Hospital of Fujian University of Traditional Chinese Medicine from April 2022 to December2022.Random number table method was used to divide the subjects into control group and experimental group,with 34 cases in each group.Control group: routine analgesia,detumescence + rehabilitation exercise treatment.The experimental group was treated with Huoxue Zhitong decoction on the basis of the control group.The degree of elbow swelling,Numerical rating scale(NRS),elbow flexion and extension range of motion,elbow Mayo score,and hypersensitive C-reactive protein(hs-CRP)were collected and recorded on the first postoperative day before treatment,7 days and 14 days after treatment.Elbow Mayo score was performed 14 days after withdrawal.Result:1.There was no significant difference in age,sex,injury side,classification of fracture and injury cause between the two groups(P>0.05),indicating comparability.2.Degree of elbow swelling: Intra-group comparison: The degree of elbow swelling in the two groups gradually improved on the first day after treatment,7 days after treatment and 14 days after treatment,with statistical significance(P<0.05).Comparison between the two groups: Before treatment on day 1 after surgery,there was no significant difference between the two groups(P>0.05).The experimental group was better than the control group at 7 and 14 days after treatment,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).3.NRS score: Intra-group comparison: the pain scores of the two groups were gradually improved on day 1 after treatment,7 days after treatment and 14 days after treatment,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Comparison between the two groups: Before treatment on day 1 after surgery,there was no significant difference between the two groups(P>0.05).The experimental group was better than the control group at 7 and 14 days after treatment,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).4.Elbow flexion and extension range of motion: Intra-group comparison: the range of motion of the two groups gradually improved on the first day after treatment,7 days after treatment and 14 days after treatment,and the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05).Comparison between the two groups: Before treatment on day1 after surgery,there was no significant difference between the two groups(P>0.05).The experimental group was better than the control group at 7 and 14 days after treatment,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).5.Elbow Mayo Score: Intragroup comparison showed that the elbow Mayo score of the two groups gradually improved on the first day after treatment,7 days after treatment,14 days after treatment and 14 days after drug withdrawal,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in scores between the two groups before treatment on day 1 after surgery(P>0.05).The Mayo score of the experimental group was better than that of the control group at 7and 14 days after treatment,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).At 14 days after withdrawal,there was no significant difference between the two groups(P>0.05).6.Laboratory indexes: In intra-group comparison,hs-CRP indexes of the two groups were decreased gradually before treatment,7 days after treatment and 14 days after treatment on the first day after surgery,with statistical significance(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in hs-CRP before treatment on day 1 after surgery(P>0.05).hs-CRP in experimental group was lower than that in control group at 7 and14 days after treatment,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:For patients with elbow dysfunction after ulnar ecranon fracture,the soup can further improve postoperative elbow swelling,pain,flexion and extension mobility based on the original treatment,and improve the postoperative elbow function score,which is worth popularizing in clinical practice.
