Distribution Characteristics Of TCM Constitution In HBeAg-Negative Chronic Hepatitis B Patients With Low-Level Viremia

Objective: The purpose of this study was to analyze the distribution characteristics of TCM constitution in HBeAg-negative patients with chronic hepatitis B(CHB)who developed low-level viremia(LLV)after 48 weeks of treatment with first-line Nucleos(t)ide analogues(NAs),to explore the relationship between TCM constitution types and general data and related clinical indexes in patients of HBeAg-negative CHB with LLV,so as to provide objective basis for TCM treatment based on body differentiation,it also provides a reference for the treatment of HBeAg-negative LLV with the combination of traditional Chinese medicine and Western medicine.Method: 145 patients of HBeAg-negative CHB with LLV were investigated by questionnaire,and their general data and physical and chemical indexes were collected,to analyze the distribution of TCM Constitution in HBeAg-negative patients with LLV,and the relationship between TCM Constitution types and general data,physical and chemical indexes.Result:1.In this study,the TCM constitution of 145 patients with HBeAg-negative CHB and LLV was distributed as follows: qi-depression type>dampness-heat type>gentleness type>qi-deficiency type>yin-deficiency type>yang-deficiency type>yang-deficiency type>phlegm-dampness type>special diathesis type,the main constitution types of TCM were qi-depression type,dampness-heat type,gentleness type and qi-deficiency type,which accounted for 35.86%,16.55%,14.48% and 11.72% respectively.2.The relationship between TCM Constitution types and general data: there were significant differences in the distribution of different sex and age groups of HBeAg-negative CHB patients with LLV in TCM Constitution(P<0.05),the constituent ratio of dampness-heat type,qi-deficiency type and yang-deficiency type in male patients was higher than that in female patients,and the constituent ratio of qi-depression type and yin-deficiency type in female patients was higher than that in male patients.In terms of age,the TCM constitution types of ≤ 30-year-old group were mainly gentleness type,while the TCM constitution types of > 30-year-old group were mainly biased constitution,mainly qi-depression type,dampness-heat type and qi-deficiency type.3.The relationship between TCM Constitution types and physical and chemical indexes:the levels of serum ALT,AST,GGT,TBIL,IBIL and the values of liver cirrhosis in the patients of HBeAg-negative CHB with LLV were significantly different among the TCM constitution types(P<0.05).Among them,the levels of ALT,AST,GGT,TBIL and IBIL were the highest in the patients with dampness-heat type;The liver stiffness value was the highest in the patients with blood-stasis type,the second in the patients with dampness-heat type,and the lowest in the patients with gentleness type.There was no significant difference in the distribution of serum ALB,ALP,AFP and HBs Ag among the different TCM constitution types(P> 0.05).Conclusions:1.The most common type of TCM constitution in HBeAg-negative CHB patients with LLV was qi-depression type,followed by dampness-heat type,gentleness type and qi-deficiency type.2.There were differences in the distribution of different TCM constitution of HBeAg-negative CHB patients with LLV in sex,age,serum levels of ALT,AST,GGT,TBIL,IBIL and liver stiffness value.Therefore,it could be a new entry point for the treatment of HBeAg-negative CHB and LLV with integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine to comprehensively evaluate the condition of HBeAg-negative CHB patients with LLV by combining TCM constitution with related physical and chemical indexes.
