Ye Tianshi’s Inheritance And Development Of Zhang Zhongjing’s Differentiation And Treatment Of Spleen And Stomach Diseases

Ye Tianshi was a famous medical expert in the Qing Dynasty.His ancestors practiced medicine for generations and had a family background,making him one of the representative figures of the Warm Disease School.The syndrome differentiation system of Wei Qi Ying Xue proposed by Ye is also one of the most commonly used in modern clinical practice.The Ye family has a humble and studious nature,and there is no school or seniority in the field of medicine.Anyone who has a certain expertise in medical skills,the Ye family,goes to the door to study.At the same time,Ye Shi diligently pursued ancient teachings and was familiar with the theories of ancient sages.In the "Clinical Guidelines for Medical Cases" compiled by his disciples,he often quoted the opinions of ancient physicians such as Zhang Zhongjing,Liu Wansu,and Li Dongyuan.Ye Tianshi’s treatment of exogenous febrile diseases is well-known to doctors,but there is relatively little research on the treatment of miscellaneous diseases.Through literature review,it was found that Ye’s thought on the differentiation and treatment of miscellaneous diseases mainly originated from Zhang Zhongjing’s academic system,while also drawing on some of the experiences of medical experts in the Jin and Yuan dynasties to improve relevant treatment methods and prescriptions in his works.This article takes the diagnosis and treatment of spleen and stomach diseases as the starting point,and through literature research,carefully reads Ye Tianshi’s related works such as the "Clinical Guidelines Medical Case" and the "Uncharted Ye’s Medical Case".At the same time,relevant scholars’ research is searched through medical network databases such as CNKI and Wanfang,collecting,incorporating,and organizing Ye’s treatment of spleen and stomach diseases.Exploring how Ye Tianshi inherited Zhong Jing’s philosophical approach to the differentiation and treatment of spleen and stomach diseases,and how to further develop the treatment of spleen and stomach diseases.This study aims to organize Ye Tianshi’s approach to treating spleen and stomach diseases,and to understand,inherit,and promote Zhongjing’s differentiation and treatment system from different perspectives.This article conducts research through the following four aspectsThe first part starts with Ye Tianshi’s life,book background,and related works,exploring the source of Ye Tianshi’s academic inheritance,and explaining the impact of Ye’s natural environment,geography,and society on his academic thinking.The second part summarizes and summarizes Zhang Zhongjing’s academic ideas and characteristics in the treatment of spleen and stomach diseases,such as preserving stomach qi,preserving body fluid,conforming to the physiology of spleen ascending and stomach descending,and applying drugs with a gentle and moderate effect.The third part summarizes and organizes Ye Tianshi’s laws on the differentiation and treatment of spleen and stomach diseases.Ye Tianshi proposed using drugs such as Ganliang or Ganping to nourish the stomach yin;If the disease persists and enters the bloodstream,use Xin Run or insect ant medicine to scrape the bloodstream.The fourth part summarizes Ye Tianshi’s inheritance of Zhang Zhongjing’s treatment of spleen and stomach pathology,and explains how Ye flexibly applies the principles and methods.Seizing the core pathogenesis and establishing relevant treatment methods,even if there are different drug choices,it can be seen that Ye Tianshi inherits Zhang Zhongjing’s thinking on the differentiation and treatment of spleen and stomach diseases.By collecting and organizing Ye Tianshi’s diagnosis and treatment of spleen and stomach diseases,we can study and develop Zhang Zhongjing’s academic thoughts from the perspective of principles and laws,and also provide new ideas for modern scholars to learn Zhang Zhongjing’s academic thoughts.Conclusion: Ye Tianshi pays special attention to soothing,purging,and clearing the liver in the treatment of spleen and stomach diseases to prevent liver numbness.Secondly,for patients with prolonged illness and pain,use Xin Run and insect like drugs to promote blood circulation and unblock collaterals to relieve pain.Finally,Ye believed that the normal rise and fall of spleen and stomach qi cannot be achieved without the promotion and elimination of lung qi.Therefore,in the treatment of diseases with poor spleen and stomach qi,it is often accompanied by the use of drugs that open and promote the lungs.In his discourse on spleen and stomach diseases,Ye supplemented the previous literature and strengthened the relevant discourse on tonifying stomach yang,nourishing fluid and promoting fluid production.
