Objective: In order to enrich and improve the research of Dai medicine, this paper systematically collates the historical and cultural background, basic characteristics, specific contents, clinical significance and clinical application of the basic theories of Dai medicine in Dehong area, and carries out research,so as to lay a foundation for building a complete and systematic basic theoretical system of Dai medicine in Dehong in the future, and provide a theoretical basis for further enriching and improving the overall basic theoretical system of Dai medicine.Method: This project adopts a combination of literature research, field research, and comparative research methods.Taking the "Catalogue of Dai Ancient Books in Dehong,Yunnan,China" and the manuscript of Ke Hui,a Dai doctor in Dehong,as clues, and combining the information recorded in the Dai medical information registration form in Ruili,Mangshi,Yingjiang,Longchuan, and Lianghe counties in Dehong, field research was conducted to collect, sort out,and summarize the historical and cultural background, basic theory, development status, and clinical application of the basic theory of Dai medicine in Dehong,And on this basis,a comparative analysis is conducted with the basic theories of Dai medicine compiled in the Xishuangbanna region in terms of historical and cultural background as well as medical connotation.Results:(1)From the perspective of historical materialism, from the multiple perspectives of nationality, regionalism, historicity, and culture of the development of Dai medicine, and taking the historical context of the development of Dai medicine in Dehong Prefecture as the main line,we explored and sorted out the literature materials such as Ji Waga,an ancient famous Dai medicine expert in Dehong, and his representative work "Weiliasuha"(for the health of all people in the world),and Fang Kehui,a folk inheritor of Dai medicine,Sort out the three historical stages of the development of Dehong Dai medicine: the embryonic stage, the formation stage, and the development stage.(2)Based on the historical and cultural background of the blending of different cultures in Dehong, this paper focuses on the theoretical manuscripts of Dai medicine written by Dr.Fang Kehui, the fourth generation inheritor of Fang’s Dai medicine in Mangshi,Dehong Prefecture, and the inheritor of Mangshi’s folk intangible cultural heritage.Through field research, interviews with Dai folk doctors and experts,And combined with the ancient Dai medical literature of Dehong, such as "Vilyasuha"(for the health of the people under heaven)and "Complete Collection of Chinese Beiye Jing",systematic excavation and sorting were carried out, induction and extraction were carried out to explore and organize Dai medical theories with Dehong characteristics, such as "Multiple Balance Theory of Inner and Outer Tower Circles","Wind Disease(Symptom)Theory",and "Targeted Medicine Introduction".(3)The concept of correspondence between heaven and man has always been integrated into the entire process of prevention, health care, diagnosis and treatment of Dai medicine. The Dai medicine monograph "Vilyasuha"(for the health of all people)excavated and organized in the Dehong area records the impact of seasonal changes on the four towers of nature and the four towers of the human body, providing a good supplement and explanation for the concept of "correspondence between heaven and man"Conclusion: The Dehong region has its unique historical and cultural background, its own historical stages of Dai medicine, its own theoretical monographs on Dai medicine, rich medicinal plant resources, and unique treatment concepts. It has similar historical and cultural background, philosophy, basic theory, and common religious belief with the Dai medicine in Xishuangbanna. It also constructs the basic theoretical framework based on the "four tower theory" under the influence of Southern Buddhism and Indian Ayurveda medicine. At the same time,it is affected by historical, cultural, geographical and other factors in the development of their respective Dai medicine, combined with their own local characteristics and treatment experience,Ultimately, the basic theoretical characteristics of Dai medicine with different regions were formed. The project sorted out the historical development process of Dai medicine in Dehong;Explored the unique theories of Dai medicine in the Dehong region, and supplemented and improved the concept of correspondence between heaven and man by organizing ancient literature.Based on the current basic theories of Dai medicine,a comparative study was conducted on the academic connotations of the basic theories of Dai medicine in the Dehong region, aiming to provide a theoretical basis for further enriching and improving the overall theoretical system of Dai medicine in the future. In the past 30 years, with the efforts of researchers engaged in Dai medicine,Dai medicine has established a medical system with the four towers and five aggregates as the core, the human body interpretation as the basis of physiology and pathology, and the three-pan theory and the elegant interpretation theory as the characteristics of diagnosis and treatment.Complete theoretical system, organize, collect, and translate ancient medical literature, published a large number of Dai medical works,at the same time, published the first set of Dai medical higher education textbooks in my country, carried out clinical research, established research institutions, and trained undergraduates to masters. The systematic talent training system from graduate students to doctoral students has made remarkable achievements in the development of Dai medicine. However, with the expansion and deepening of the research content of Dai medicine,we found that compared with the sister medicine Thai medicine and the three major ethnic medicines Tibetan medicine,Mongolian medicine, and Uyghur medicine, the current basic theory of Dai medicine is systematic, normative research, and there are still deficiencies in guiding clinical practice and the research and development of Dai medicine. It is mainly manifested in:(1)Some important basic issues, such as the core theory of Dai medicine "Four Pagodas and Five Connotations" and the connotation research and extension definition of other characteristic theories of Dai medicine, are not in-depth enough, and there is a lack of formation from the basic theory of Dai medicine. The special cultural background and the philosophical aspects such as nature view, life view, disease view and diagnosis and treatment view are deeply and systematically studied.(2)In terms of the collection and arrangement of Dai medicine literature, the research focuses on geographical imbalance. At present, the theoretical system of Dai medicine and the collection sources of literature data are mainly from Xishuangbanna,Pu’er and other regions.Relatively speaking, the collection of literature data and folk data in Dehong Prefecture and other places inhabited by the Dai people is insufficient.Due to the differences in geography, climate, living customs, historical culture, and resources in other Dai settlements, there is insufficient exploration of theories, clinical experiences and methods with their own characteristics, which makes the overall academic research work on the basic theory of Dai medicine relatively stagnant. Therefore,in view of the current predicament in the development of the basic theory of Dai medicine,it is particularly important to carry out research on the basic theory of Dai medicine in Dehong Prefecture to further systematically improve the basic theoretical system of Dai medicine. This subject adopts the method of combining literature research, field research and comparative research. The historical and cultural background, basic theory, development status, and clinical application of the basic theory of Dai medicine in Dehong were collected, sorted, and summarized by taking the residences of Dai medicine recorded in the Dai medicine information registration forms of Ruili and Mangshi in Dehong as field points. On this basis,it compares and analyzes the historical and cultural background and medical connotation of the basic theory of Dai medicine sorted out in Xishuangbanna area. The conclusion is: Dai medicine in Dehong area and Dai medicine in Xishuangbanna area have similar historical and cultural backgrounds, philosophical thoughts, basic theories, and common religious beliefs. At the same time,in the development process of their respective Dai medicine, they combined their own local characteristics and treatment experience to finally form the basic theory of Dai medicine with the characteristics of different regions. The focus of this topic is to discuss the historical and cultural background, basic characteristics, specific content, clinical significance and clinical application of the basic theory of Dai medicine in Dehong, and to preliminarily summarize the framework of the basic theory of Dai medicine in Dehong. In the future,a complete and systematic Didehong will be built, which will lay the foundation for the basic theoretical system of Dai medicine. To provide a theoretical basis for further enriching and improving the overall basic theoretical system of Dai medicine.
