Clinical Study Of Siwu Sise Decoctionon On Chronic Spontaneous Urticaria Of Blood Deficiency And Wind Dryness Syndrome

Objective: To observe the clinical efficacy of Siwu Sise decoction in the treatment of chronic spontaneous urticaria of blood deficiency and wind dryness syndrome,its effect on patients’ quality of life and its effect on serum IgE through a clinical study,so as to explore a feasible Chinese herbal treatment for chronic spontaneous urticaria.METHODS: Eighty patients attending the outpatient clinic of the Department of Dermatology of the First Affiliated Hospital of Hunan University of Traditional Chinese Medicine,who met the diagnosis of chronic spontaneous urticaria with blood deficiency and wind dryness,were selected and divided into treatment and control groups according to a random number table.40 patients in each group were given Siwu Sise decoction in the treatment group and Rundown and Anti-itch capsules in the control group for a 4-week treatment period.The quality of life scores were recorded and followed up for 3 months after the treatment.Statistical analysis was performed in terms of efficacy evaluation,adverse effects and recurrence rate.Results:1.Clinical symptoms: There was no statistically significant difference in UAS7 between the two groups before treatment(P>0.05);after 2 weeks of treatment,there was a difference in UAS7 and the number of wind masses between the two groups(P<0.05),but there was no difference in the degree of pruritus between the two groups(P > 0.05).After 4 weeks of treatment,the number of wind masses,the degree of itching and the total UAS7 score in the treatment group were all lower than those in the control group,and there was a difference between the two groups(P<0.05).2.Total effective rate: the effective rate of the treatment group was 94.7% and the effective rate of the control group was 75.7%.The difference in efficacy between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05).3.Serum IgE: The difference was not statistically significant when comparing the IgE values of the two groups before treatment(P>0.05).After treatment,IgE values in both groups were lower than before,and the difference was statistically significant compared with before treatment(P < 0.05),and the difference between the two groups was not statistically significant(P > 0.05).4.Dermatological quality of life index: There was no difference in the quality of life index between the two groups before treatment(P>0.05).After 4 weeks of treatment,there was a statistically significant difference between the two groups compared with that before treatment(P < 0.05),and there was no statistically significant difference between the two groups compared(P > 0.05).5.Occurrence of adverse reactions: The incidence of adverse reactions was 2.6% in the treatment group and 5.4% in the control group,and the difference between the two groups was not statistically significant(P>0.05).6.Comparison of recurrence rate after follow-up: 5.5% in the treatment group and17.8% in the control group,with no statistically significant difference between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion:1.The effectiveness of Siwu Sise decoction in reducing wind masses was better than that of Rundown and Anti-itch capsules.In terms of reducing the degree of itching,the effect was comparable at two weeks of treatment,and after four weeks of treatment,the effect of Siwu Sise decoction was better than that of Rundown and Anti-itch capsules.2.IgE levels were higher in patients with chronic spontaneous urticaria and were positively correlated with UAS7.Both Siwu Sise decoction and Rundown and Anti-itch capsules can reduce the serum IgE value,alleviate the allergic reaction and improve the quality of life of patients.3.The efficacy of Siwu Sise decoction in treating chronic spontaneous urticaria is definite,with little adverse effects and low recurrence rate.
