Clinical Efficacy Of Shenlipid Zhixiao Decoction For Treating Functional Diarrhea (Spleen Kidney Yang Deficiency Type)

Purpose: The theoretical characteristics and clinical efficacy of the prescription "Shenzhi antidiarrheal Decoction" prepared by Professor Li Yao were discussed by observing the curative effect of TCM syndrome,anxiety and depression and recurrence rate of functional diarrhea(spleen-kidney Yang deficiency type)patients before and after treatment.Method: 72 cases of functional diarrhea with spleen-kidney Yang deficiency who met the inclusion criteria The randomized method was divided into a treatment group and a control group,with 36 participants in each group,and the treatment group was given orally Shenzhi antidiarrheal decoction and the control group was given Gubenyichang tablet.The treatment course of both groups was 4 weeks.During the course of treatment,total TCM syndrome score,Bristol fecal character distribution,single symptom score of each group before and after treatment,overall efficacy of the two groups,self-test score of anxiety and depression were recorded.One month after the course of treatment,outpatient or telephone follow-up was conducted to record the subjects’ disease recurrence,collect relevant data,and finally conduct statistical calculation.The results are :1.Effective rate: 87.87% in the treatment group and 69.69% in the control group,the total effective rate of the two groups after treatment was statistically significant(P < 0.05),indicating that the therapeutic effect of Shenzhi Zhidiarrheal decoction was better than Gubenyichang tablet.2.Total scores of TCM symptoms: The total scores of TCM symptoms of the two groups after treatment were decreased compared with those before treatment,with statistically significant difference(P<0.05).The comparison between the two groups showed a higher decrease in Shenzhi antidiaremia decoction group(P<0.05),indicating that the symptoms of Shenzhi antidiaremia decoction group improved more significantly than Gubenyichang tablet group.3.Single symptom score of the two groups: After treatment,Shenzhi Zhidiarrheal decoction group had better improvement degree of increased stool frequency,loose stool or watery stool,waist and knee soreness and fatigue symptom than Guben abnormal tablet group(P < 0.05),but there was no statistical difference in the relief of symptoms of cold limbs and loss of appetite between the two groups(P > 0.05).4.Typing of Bristol fecal traits: After treatment,there was a statistically significant difference in the number of people typing Bristol fecal traits between the two groups(P <0.05),indicating that Shenzhi Zhijie Decoction improved fecal traits better than Gubenyichang tablet.5.Anxiety and depression: After treatment,the scores of anxiety and depression in the two groups were lower than those before treatment,with statistical significance(P < 0.05),and the decline of anxiety and depression scores between the two groups was more obvious than that in the treatment group(P < 0.05),indicating that the Shenzhi Zhijie decoction group was better than the Gubenyichang tablet group in improving anxiety and depression.6.Recurrence rate: The follow-up showed that the recurrence rate was 20.68% in the treatment group and 47.82% in the control group.There was a statistical difference in the recurrence rate between the two groups(P < 0.05),indicating that the recurrence rate of Shenzhi Zhidiarrheal decoction was lower than that of Gubenyichang tablet group.7.Safety assessment: No adverse reactions occurred in the two groups during treatment.Conclusions:Shenzhi Zhixie Decoction has significant clinical effect in the treatment of functional diarrhea with deficiency of spleen and kidney Yang,and the improvement degree of fecal character change,increased defecation times,fatigue and waist and knee pain and tenderness is better than Gubenyichang tablet group,with high safety and low recurrence rate.
