| Objective(s): Based on coronary computed tomographic angiography(CCTA)to quantify plaque types and pericoronary adipose tissue(PCAT).To investigated the influence of partial volume effect on the measurement of PCAT density.To explore the difference of PCAT density in different types of coronary plaques.To evaluate the consistency of Acquilion ONE CT ’s builtin software and artificial intelligence software in measuring PCAT density.Methods: we collected medical images from 256 patients who underwent CCTA examination with Acquilion ONE CT of our hospital from May 2021 to October 2022.Clinical and laboratory data of all patients were recorded.According to certain inclusion and exclusion criteria,115 patients with 171 segments were eventually included for analysis,including 37 patients with 74 segments in control group and 78 patients with 97 segments in case group.According to plaque components,the case group was divided into calcified,non-calcified and mixed plaque groups.The post-processing workstation coronary artery analysis software of Acquilion ONE CT and artificial intelligence software to delineate the PCAT range of each segment and calculate the PCAT density.Results: Not observed for age,sex,body mass index,risk factor differences between cases groups.The distance from the outer wall of the vessel was negatively correlated with the density of PCAT;When the distance from the outer wall of the vessel was greater than 0.75 mm,the decrease of PCAT CT value was significantly reduced.The value of PCAT CT in the case group was higher than that in the control group,the control group was significantly different from the calcified plaque group and the non-calcified plaque group(P < 0.05),and there was no significant difference among the three groups within the case group(P > 0.05).The difference of mean PCAT density between groups could be obtained by the two methods,and the difference between the control group and the non-calcified plaque group was obvious.However,there was no significant difference in the mean value of FAI between groups measured by AI software(P >0.05),and the consistency between the two measurement methods was poor(P < 0.05).Conclusion(s): Clinical background may have little effect on plaque.The post-processing workstation coronary artery analysis software of Canon is used to measure PCAT density with high repeatability and reliability;PCAT density measurement is affected by partial volume effect.PCAT density was correlated with plaque type.The relevant standards of PCAT density measurement need to be improved,appropriate modification of the upper fat threshold to coordinate potential measurement biases can be used as a potential factor for adjustment in subsequent studies. |
