Clinical Study On The Treatment Of Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus With Depression Based On The Thought Of "Valuing Yang Qi"

Objective: The purpose of this study was to observe the changes of traditional Chinese medicine syndrome score,HAMD depression scale score,SDS scale score,DSQL scale score,glucose metabolism index and safety index of type 2 diabetes patients with depression(syndrome of kidney deficiency and liver depression)before and after treatment with Warm Kidney Jieyu Decoction,which was made based on the Huangdi Neijing "Double Yang" thought.It is expected to provide efficacy and safety verification for Warm Kidney Jieyu Decoction in the clinical treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus with depression(syndrome of kidney deficiency and liver depression),and then provide new ideas and methods for traditional Chinese medicine treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus with depression(syndrome of kidney deficiency and liver depression).Methods: The experimental design included 72 patients who met the experimental criteria,and the patients successfully included in the experiment were respectively included in the irradiation group and the treatment group by random number table method,with 36 persons in each group.The control group was given basic treatment combined with St.John’s wort extract tablet orally,and the treatment group was given basic treatment combined with self-prepared Wenshen Jieyu decoction orally.The treatment lasted for 28 days and 3 courses were observed in the experiment.Chinese medicine syndrome score,HAMD depression scale score,SDS scale score,DSQL scale score,glucose metabolism index and safety index data of the two groups were recorded before and after treatment.Statistical software was used for data analysis,and objective evaluation was made.Results: A total of 64 patients meeting the criteria were successfully included in the experiment,and two patients fell off due to various reasons during the treatment,including1 in the control group and 1 in the treatment group.31 cases in each group were actually completed in the whole experiment,totaling 62 cases.After treatment,both groups could improve the scores of TCM symptoms of the tested patients to a certain extent,but compared with the control group,the treatment group had obvious advantages in both treatment scope and improvement degree.HAMD depression scale score,SDS scale score and DSQL scale score could be reduced and glucose metabolism level could be optimized in both groups,but the treatment group was better than the control group(P < 0.05).No adverse reactions were observed in all patients during the treatment.Conclusion: Compared with St.John’s Wort extract,Warming Kidney Jieyu Decoction,which was designed based on the "Double Yang" thought of Huangdi Neijing,improved the clinical symptoms of patients with type 2 diabetes and depression(syndrome of kidney deficiency and liver depression);It has significant advantages in reducing HAMD depression scale score,SDS scale score,DSQL scale score and optimizing blood glucose level,and has good clinical safety,which is worthy of further promotion and application.
