Objective: The UPE intensity and body surface temperature of bilateral Sanyinjiao points in patients with primary dysmenorrhea(PD)at different time points of the menstrual cycle were detected by bio-ultraviolet luminescence(UPE)and infrared thermography, and the specific changes in the energy characteristics of Sanyinjiao points were observed in the state of dysmenorrhea. To provide an objective basis for clinical diagnosis and treatment of primary dysmenorrhea. Methods: Thirty-seven patients with primary dysmenorrhea were obtained from female college students of Changchun University of Traditional Chinese Medicine during December 2021-December 2022,and all subjects were selected strictly according to the inclusion and exclusion criteria. The detection point selected for this study was Sanyinjiao, and the detection apparatus was selected from a bio-ultra-microluminescence detection system photomultiplier tube(PMT)and a digital medical infrared thermography, with the UPE intensity of the acupuncture point and the body surface temperature as the observation indexes, and the detection was performed in the premenstrual period(7 days before the onset of menstruation),the menstrual period(day 2 of menstruation),and the late menstrual period(day 7 after the end of menstruation),respectively,to ensure the experimental data In order to ensure the accuracy of the experimental data, the hours of detection were kept the same for each subject for all three times.Results:Thirty-seven patients with primary dysmenorrhea were obtained from female college students of Changchun University of Traditional Chinese Medicine during December2021-December 2022,and all subjects were selected strictly according to the inclusion and exclusion criteria. The detection point selected for this study was Sanyinjiao, and the detection apparatus was selected from a bio-ultra-microluminescence detection system photomultiplier tube(PMT)and a digital medical infrared thermography, with the UPE intensity of the acupuncture point and the body surface temperature as the observation indexes, and the detection was performed in the premenstrual period(7 days before the onset of menstruation),the menstrual period(day 2 of menstruation),and the late menstrual period(day 7 after the end of menstruation),respectively,to ensure the experimental data 1.Correlation between body surface temperature of acupuncture points and indoor and outdoor temperature and humidity: except for the body surface temperature of bilateral Sanyinjiao points during the premenstrual period, which showed a low correlation with indoor temperature(P<0.05,0.3<r<0.4),all other comparative results showed P>0.05.2.2.There was no significant difference between indoor and outdoor humidity and temperature in each period.3.Left and right Sanyinjiao points control: the body surface temperature of the right Sanyinjiao point was higher than that of the left during menstruation;the UPE intensity of the right Sanyinjiao point was higher than that of the left during the premenstrual, menstrual and late menstrual periods.4.Left-right imbalance: there was a significant difference in the left-right imbalance of UPE intensity at the Sanyinjiao acupuncture point during the premenstrual, menstrual and late menstrual periods;while the left-right imbalance of body surface temperature at Sanyinjiao was not significant between the periods.5.Sanyinjiao control at different periods: there was a significant difference(P<0.05)in the UPE intensity of the left and right Sanyinjiao points at premenstrual, menstrual, and late menstrual periods, while there was no significant difference in body surface temperature.6.Difference and growth rate: there was a significant difference in the difference and growth rate between the premenstrual and menstrual periods for body surface temperature at both sides of the Sanyinjiao acupoints;the results of the comparison of the difference and growth rate between the premenstrual and menstrual periods and between the menstrual and late menstrual periods at the left Sanyinjiao acupoints were statistically significant, and both were higher for the premenstrual and late menstrual periods than for the premenstrual and menstrual periods.7.Correlation analysis between UPE intensity of acupuncture points and body surface temperature: the correlation was not significant(P>0.05)except for the low correlation between UPE intensity of acupuncture points on the left side of menstruation and body surface temperature(P<0.05,0.3<r<0.4).Conclusions:1.Both bio-ultrafine luminescence and infrared thermography techniques reflect that there are some differences in the energy of the Sanyinjiao acupoint in PD patients at different time points, and that the UPE intensity of the acupoint is more sensitive than the changes in the local temperature of the acupoint.2.There is a left-right imbalance in UPE intensity and acupoint temperature at the bilateral Sanyinjiao acupoints in PD patients, showing that the right side is higher than the left side.3.There was a significant difference in UPE intensity at the Sanyinjiao acupoint in PD patients at different time points of the menstrual cycle, manifesting as late menstrual period > menstrual period > premenstrual period.
