Objective: To analyze the residual dizziness(RD),recurrence and influencing factors in patients with benign paroxysmal positional vertigo(BPPV),so as to provide a reliable basis for reducing the adverse outcome after reduction of BPPV patients. Methods:Patients diagnosed with BPPV from February 2021 to June 2022 in the otolaryngology outpatient clinic of Changchun University of Traditional Chinese Medicine and the fourth Hospital of Harbin Medical University were selected, first diagnosis general situation questionnaire, visual simulation scale(VAS),anxiety scale(SAS),depression(SDS),Pittsburgh sleep quality scale(PSQI),detailed record of clinical data, otolith reduction treatment in 2 weeks, half a year respectively. To determine whether there are residual dizziness and recurrence symptoms,in order to further explore the factors affecting the outcome of patients after treatment. Results: 1.After 2 weeks of follow-up,210 cases had effective treatment and maintained follow-up,of which the incidence of patients with residual dizziness was20.47%.After six months of follow-up,198 cases had effective treatment and maintained follow-up,among which the recurrence rate was 21.21%.The recurrence rate of patients with residual dizziness was 20.93%.2.Comparative unfolding analysis of the probability of residual dizziness in BPPV patients under different univariates using X2 test. The results showed that age, type of semicircular involvement, anxiety, and sleep disorders were associated with residual dizziness after BPPV treatment with a statistically significant difference(P <0.05).Univariates statistically significant by the X2 test were included in the binary Logistic regression model line a multivariate ANOVA.Results found that age, type of semicircular involvement, anxiety, and sleep disturbance were independently associated with the development of residual dizziness after treatment with BPPV and were statistically significant(P <0.05).3.The X2 test was used to analyze the recurrence rate of patients with BPPV under different univariate factors. The results showed that age, hypertension, diabetes, anxiety, and sleep disorders were associated with recurrence after BPPV treatment and were statistically significant(P <0.05).Factors with statistical significance in the X2 test were included in the binary Logistic regression model line multivariate analysis of variance.Age was found to be an independent risk factor for recurrence after BPPV treatment(P <0.05).Conclusion: 1.Patient age, type of semicircular canal involvement, anxiety, and sleep disturbance were associated and independently associated with residual dizziness after BPPV treatment. Therefore, for BPPV patients with the above risk factors, prevention should be done in advance to reduce the probability of residual dizziness.2.Age,hypertension,diabetes,anxiety,and sleep disturbance were associated with relapse after BPPV treatment.Where age was an independent risk factor for relapse. The attention and follow-up of middle-aged and elderly BPPV patients should be increased.
