Research On The Prevention And Control Of Infectious Diseases In Changchun From The Perspective Of Media(1912-1931)

Objective: To analyze the epidemic and prevention of infectious diseases in Changchun from 1912 to 1931 in Shengjing Times from the perspective of media,so as to provide guidance for the prevention and control strategy of contemporary infectious diseases.Methods: Using the method of philology,the historical records of infectious diseases in Shengjing Times from 1912 to 1931 were sorted and classified,and the epidemic information,epidemic prevention laws and regulations,epidemic prevention measures and public health construction were summarized.Results: A total of 252 reports on the prevention and treatment of infectious diseases were screened.The frequent epidemic of infectious diseases in Changchun is mainly affected by natural factors and social factors.Plague,cholera,dysentery,scarlet fever,epidemic disease,and venereal disease are the main diseases.Plague and cholera are the most frequent and most serious ones.They are characterized by a wide range of epidemic,fast transmission speed,and a large number of deaths.Infectious diseases have caused great harm to people’s physical and mental health and social and economic development in Changchun.When infectious diseases are prevalent,the treatment measures include: setting up epidemic prevention institutions to guide the treatment;Establish temporary hospitals to treat infected patients;Comprehensively report the epidemic situation and alert the people to prevent it;Strictly control traffic and take isolation measures.The government’s measures to prevent infectious diseases include: paying attention to health construction and improving the living environment;Promulgate epidemic prevention laws and regulations and implement the reporting system;Compulsory vaccination to prevent infection;Publicize epidemic knowledge and improve people’s awareness.Public health construction measures include: improving infrastructure and improving health environment;Rectifying the ranks of doctors and improving medical ability;Medical colleges recruit students and expand the scale of medical care.Conclusion: During the period of the Republic of China,we initially established the prevention and control mechanism of infectious diseases,continuously improved the health and epidemic prevention system,established special epidemic prevention institutions,paid attention to health environment management and ecological environment protection,actively carried out infectious disease publicity and education activities,and implemented specific epidemic prevention measures,which can be used for reference to today’s reality.
