Objective: This study summarizes the rules of Chinese medicine prescriptions for the treatment of duodenal ulcer(DU)through literature research, and analyzes the differences in the use of medicine in the treatment of this disease by medical practitioners from different regions in the north and south,in order to better guide clinical practice. Methods: In this study,71 relevant literature and 100 prescriptions(51 in the southern region and 49 in the northern region)of Chinese medicine for the treatment of duodenal ulcer were screened according to the nadir criteria.Microsoft Office Excel 2007 software was applied to establish the database, and the data were organized, summarized, and frequency statistics were performed.IBM SPSS Statistics 26 software was used to perform systematic clustering analysis on the data.IBM SPSS Modeler 18.0 software was used to analyze the data by association rules, and finally,Cytoscape software was used to beautify the data. Results: 1.The statistical analysis of drug frequency found that the top three high-frequency drugs for the treatment of DU in the total regions of the south and north were,in order,Bai Shao,Huang Qi and Cuttlebone;the top three high-frequency drugs for the treatment of DU in the south were,in order,Bai Shao,Chen Pi and Fu Ling;the top three high-frequency drugs for the treatment of DU in the north were,in order,Bai Shao,Huang Qi and Cuttlebone. In terms of high-frequency drug dosage, the dosage of Astragalus,Gui Zhi and Chen Pi in the northern region is larger than that in the southern region;the dosage of Glycyrrhiza glabra,Paeonia lactiflora,Cuttlebone,Yan Hu Suo and Poria in the southern region is larger than that in the northern region;the dosage of jujube in both regions is similar.2.The analysis of drug association rules in the total regions of the South and North yielded a total of 18 core drug pairs, divided into 1 group of two-flavored drugs and 17 groups of three-flavored drugs;the analysis of drug association rules in the South yielded a total of34 core drug pairs, divided into 9 groups of two-flavored drugs and 25 groups of three-flavored drugs;the analysis of drug association rules in the North yielded a total of 61 core drug pairs, divided into 14 groups of two-flavored drugs and 47 groups of three-flavored drugs.47 groups.4.The cluster analysis of high-frequency drugs(Chinese medicine frequency≥ 10 times)in the total regions of the south and north yielded 6 cluster core combinations;the cluster analysis of high-frequency drugs(Chinese medicine frequency ≥ 10 times)in the south yielded 4 cluster core combinations;the cluster analysis of high-frequency drugs(Chinese medicine frequency ≥ 10 times)in the north yielded 3 cluster core combinations. Conclusion: Both southern and northern physicians believe that the disease is deficient and the symptoms are real,so treatment focuses on distinguishing between deficiency and reality, and the treatment of the disease has been carried out to benefit the qi and strengthen the spleen. There are similarities between the treatment of DU in the South and the North, both of which are based on deficiency tonics, and both of which can be seen in Huangqi Jianzhong Tang with addition and subtraction. There are also differences in the treatment of DU between the south and the north, with the southern region favoring the draining of the liver, strengthening the spleen and clearing heat, and the northern region favoring the strengthening of the spleen, dispersing cold and resolving blood stasis.
