Objective:In this study,Mongolian medicine combined with western medicine was used to treat iron deficiency anemia(Badgan Heyi type).By comparing the changes of hemoglobin level, red blood cell related parameters, iron metabolism index,Mongolian medicine syndrome score, safety indexes(liver and kidney function)and adverse drug reaction before and after treatment, the clinical efficacy and safety of Mongolian medicine based on Tonglaga-5 combined with iron agent in the treatment of iron-deficiency anemia were observed. To provide basis for clinical application in the future.Method: 60 patients with iron deficiency anemia who met the diagnostic criteria and inclusion criteria in the ward of international Mongolian Medical Hospital of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region from December 2021 to March 2023 were randomly divided into treatment group(Mongolian medicine + iron agent)and with 30 patients in control group(iron agent). All patients were treated continuously for 3 months.control group(iron agent),The clinical efficacy and safety of the two groups were evaluated by observing the changes of hemoglobin level, red blood cell related parameters(erythrocyte count, mean corpuscular volume, mean corpuscular hemoglobin concentration),iron metabolism index(Ferritin, serum iron, total iron binding capacity),Mongolian medicine syndrome score, safety indexes(liver and kidney function)and adverse drug reaction before and after treatment,Spss26.0statistical software for data analysis.Result:1.The total effective rate was 93.1% in the treatment group and 89.6% in the control group. There was not significant difference between the two groups(p>0.05).2.There was no significant difference in the hemoglobin level, red blood cell related parameters, iron metabolism index and Mongolian medicine syndrome score between the two groups before treatment(P>0.05).There were significant differences in the hemoglobin level, red blood cell related parameters, iron metabolism index and Mongolian medicine syndrome score between the two groups after treatment(p<0.05).3.There was no significant difference in liver and kidney function(ALT、AST、UA、Crea)between the treatment group and the control group before and after treatment(P>0.05).4.Incidence of adverse reactions: the incidence of adverse reactions in the treatment group was 10.3%,and that in the control group was 31%.The incidence of adverse reactions in the two groups was statistically significant(p>0.05)Conclusion:1.The combination of Mongolian medicine based on Tonglaga-5 combined with iron agent has a significant therapeutic effect on Badgan Heyi type iron deficiency anemia.2.After treatment, both groups improved their red blood cell related parameters and iron metabolism indicators, and the treatment group was superior to the control group. It can be explained that the combination of Mongolian medicine based on Tonglaga-5 combined with iron agent can improve the patient’s red blood cell related parameters and increase iron absorption, increasing iron reserves, when treating Badagan Heyi type iron deficiency anemia.3.The research results show that both groups of Mongolian medicine syndrome scores have decreased, and the effective rate of the treatment group is higher than that of the control group. It can be concluded that the combination of Mongolian medicine based on Tonglaga-5 combined with iron agent has a better therapeutic effect.4.Mongolian medicine based on Tonglaga-5 has good safety and low incidence of adverse reactions.
