Objective:This study conducted interactive pelvic floor health education for postpartum patients with pelvic floor dysfunction under the guidance of IKAP theory, and discussed the application effect of this mode in postpartum pelvic floor rehabilitation to improve patients’ PFD knowledge level, improve pelvic floor muscle strength, enhance pelvic floor muscle training self-efficacy and pelvic floor muscle exercise compliance. Methods:A total of 110 patients with postpartum pelvic floor dysfunction who were admitted to the postpartum pelvic floor clinic of a third-class A hospital in Inner Mongolia from March2022 to December 2022 were selected as the research objects.Patients admitted from March2022 to July 2022 were selected as the intervention group, and patients admitted from August2022 to December 2022 were selected as the control group according to the sequence of patient visits. The control group received conventional pelvic floor rehabilitation health education, and the intervention group received interactive pelvic floor rehabilitation health education guided by IKAP theory on the basis of the control group, with a total of 5 weeks of intervention. Before intervention and after intervention, pelvic floor muscle strength of patients was assessed by specially-assigned persons, and disease knowledge level, pelvic floor muscle exercise self-efficacy scale and pelvic floor exercise compliance questionnaire were used to evaluate the two groups of patients. The data collected were analyzed using SPSS25.0software.Results:After the intervention,105 data were collected from two groups,53 from the intervention group and 52 from the control group.1.There was no significant difference between the two groups in the general information before intervention, such as age,pre-delivery BMI,fetal weight, delivery method, education level, occupation, per capita monthly family income, payment method, and scores of pelvic floor muscle strength, pelvic floor dysfunction knowledge questionnaire and BPMSES questionnaire(P>0.05).2.Comparison of pelvic floor muscle strength between the two groups: Before intervention, there was no statistical significance in the muscle strength of class Ⅰ and Ⅱ pelvic floor muscle fibers between the two groups(P>0.05),which was comparable. After intervention, the muscle strength of class Ⅰ and Ⅱ pelvic floor fibers in 2 groups was improved compared with before intervention, and the ratio of class Ⅰ and Ⅱ muscle fiber strength ≥3 in the intervention group was 81.13% and 77.36%,respectively,which was better than that of class Ⅰ and Ⅱ muscle fiber strength ≥3 in the control group,53.84% and 46.16%,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).3.Comparison of knowledge questionnaire scores of pelvic floor dysfunction:Knowledge scores of pelvic floor dysfunction in both groups were higher after intervention than before intervention, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The knowledge questionnaire score of the intervention group(61.84±5.03)was significantly higher than that of the control group(47.88±4.66),and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).4.Comparison of Pelvic Floor Muscle Exercise Self-Efficacy Scale(BPMSES)scores:After intervention, the BPMSES of both groups were improved compared with before intervention, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05),the score of the intervention group(155.00±9.69)was higher than that of the control group(142.42±6.23),the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).5.Pelvic floor muscle exercise compliance score: After intervention, the intervention group(13.21±2.39)pelvic floor muscle exercise compliance score was significantly higher than the control group(6.46±2.87),the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Moreover,in terms of the compliance level distribution, the proportion of patients with good compliance in the intervention group(45.28%)and the intervention control group(1.92%)(P<0.05).Conclusion:The interactive health education guided by IKAP theory can improve the cognitive level of pelvic floor disease and the self-efficacy level of pelvic floor muscle exercise in postpartum patients with pelvic floor dysfunction, enhance the compliance of patients with pelvic floor muscle exercise,so as to enhance pelvic floor muscle strength and improve pelvic floor function.
