| Objective:To investigate the effects of stellate ganglion block on cognitive function and serum α-Syn level in elderly patients undergoing spinal surgery. Methods:A total of 62 elderly patients aged 60~80 years who underwent spinal surgery in our hospital from September 2021 to June 2022 were selected, and 60 cases were finally included.Patients were randomly divided into two groups, each group of 30 people, one group underwent ultrasound-guided planetary ganglion block(SGB group)15 minutes before induction, and the other group underwent no other treatment(non-SGB group)and underwent conventional general anesthesia.Preoperative 1d,postoperative 1d、3d、5d Brief Mental Status Examination(MMSE),Montreal Cognitive Assessment Scale(Mo CA)and Semantic Fluency Test(SFT)scores and serum α-Syn expression were recorded.Result:Sixty test patients were finally enrolled in this study, and the results were as follows:(1)There was no statistically significant difference in general information such as gender, age, and surgical time between the two groups of patients(P>0.05).However,the number of postoperative nausea and vomiting in the SGB group was less than that in the non SGB group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).(2)There was no statistically significant difference in preoperative MMSE score and Mo CA score between the two groups of patients(P>0.05).Compared with the same group, the MMSE score and Mo CA score of the two groups were lower than those before operation 1d and 3d after operation.Five days after operation, the patient recovered to the preoperative level. The MMSE score and Mo CA score of the non SGB group were lower than those of the SGB group at 1d,3d and5 d after operation(P<0.05).(3)The SFT score of the non-SGB group was lower than that of the SGB group at 1d and 3d after operation, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in preoperative and postoperative 5d SFT scores between the two groups(P>0.05).(4)There was no significant difference in α-Syn expression level between the two groups before operation(P>0.05).The α-Syn expression level in the non-SGB group was higher than that in the SGB group on the 1d,3d and 5d after operation(P<0.05).Conclusion:Stellate ganglion block is used in elderly patients undergoing spinal surgery, which can improve postoperative cognitive function, reduce the expression level of postoperative α-Syn,and improve the adverse reactions of postoperative nausea and vomiting. |
