| Objectives:1.Develop a weight gain control intention scale for pregnant women and test its reliability and validity, providing an evaluation tool for clinical evaluation of weight gain control intention for pregnant women.2.Through this scale survey,we aim to understand the intention of pregnant women to control weight gain and the current status of weight gain during pregnancy, analyze the factors that affect weight gain during pregnancy, explore the relationship between the intention of pregnant women to control weight gain during pregnancy, and provide a basis for developing targeted intervention measures for weight gain control in pregnant women, improve the participation and compliance of pregnant women in weight gain control, and promote maternal and infant health.Methods:1.Based on the theory of planned behavior(TPB),an interview outline for pregnant women was drawn up.On the basis of literature review and semi-structured interview results,a scale item pool was constructed. The preliminary scale was formed through expert correspondence and pre investigation.Using convenience sampling method,282 pregnant women were selected from February to April 2022 to conduct item analysis and exploratory factor analysis on the initial test scale, forming a formal scale;A survey was conducted on 324 pregnant women from May to July 2022 to test the reliability and validity of the formal scale.2.A survey was conducted on 222 hospitalized expectant mothers from November 2022 to January 2023 using the General Information Questionnaire for Pregnant Women and the Intention Scale for Weight Gain Control.Using descriptive analysis to understand the intention of pregnant women to control weight gain and the current status of weight gain during pregnancy;Using multiple stepwise linear regression analysis to explore the influencing factors of pregnancy weight gain, and to explore the relationship between pregnant women’s intention to control weight gain and pregnancy weight gain.Results:1.Based on literature review and semi-structured interview results, the entry pool of the Pregnant Women’s Intention to Control Weight Growth Scale consists of 33 items. After two rounds of expert consultation, the opinions of the experts tended to be consistent, forming a preliminary scale consisting of 29 items. After project analysis,a total of 9 items that did not meet the requirements were deleted and 20 items were retained;Exploratory factor analysis extracted three common factors, with a cumulative variance contribution rate of 80.198%,and ultimately formed a pregnant woman weight gain control intention scale with 20 items in three dimensions(behavioral attitude, subjective norms, and perceptual behavior control).Confirmatory factor analysis showed that the scale structure model had a good fitting index. The overall content validity index of the scale is 0.98,and the content validity index of each item is 0.83-1.00;Total Table Cronbach’sαThe coefficient is 0.917,the half reliability is 0.709,and the retest reliability is 0.860.2.The average score of the weight gain control intention scale for 222 pregnant women was(3.35±0.67)points,the average score of the behavioral attitude dimension was(3.49±0.88)points,the average score of the subjective norm dimension was(3.31±0.95)points,and the average score of the perceptual behavioral control dimension was(3.28±0.87)points.The average weight gain of pregnant women during pregnancy is(13.97±3.52)kg,and the average increase in△BMI is(5.36±1.25);9.91%were below the weight gain standard during pregnancy,54.5%met the weight gain standard during pregnancy, and 35.59%had EGWG.Multiple stepwise linear regression analysis showed that age,pre pregnancy BMI,behavioral attitude, subjective norms, and perceived behavioral control were the main influencing factors for weight gain during pregnancy, jointly explaining 34.30%of the total variation in weight gain during pregnancy. Moreover, behavioral attitude, subjective norms, and perceived behavioral control were significantly negatively correlated with weight gain during pregnancy.Conclusions:1.The TPB based Pregnant Women’s Intention to Control Weight Growth Scale has good relia bility and validity, and can be used to analyze the compliance of pregnant women in controllin g weight growth by evaluating their intention to control weight growth.2.The intention of pregnant women to control weight gain in this study is at a moderate level,a nd the control of weight gain during pregnancy is not ideal.Medical staff can analyze the intent ion of pregnant women to control weight gain, provide personalized guidance on behavioral att itudes, subjective norms, and perceptual behavior control, and collaborate with important other s to provide social support to pregnant women and help them overcome obstacles to improve th eir weight gain control intention and compliance, thereby reasonably controlling pregnancy wei ght gain and improving maternal and infant outcomes. |
