Quality Of Life Of Patients With Psoriasis And Its Influencing Factors

Objective:To study the extent to which the quality of life of patients with psoriasis is affected.And investigate whether patients’ levels of social support,different coping styles,and general well-being have an impact on patients’ quality of life.Methods:Patients with psoriasis who visited the dermatology clinic of the Second Hospital of Shanxi Medical University from July 2021 to July 2022 were selected.The general condition scale,Dermatology life quality index(DLQI),Social support rating scale(SSRS),Simplified coping style questionnaire(SCSQ),Overall well-being scale(GWB)were used for questionnaire survey and statistical analysis.Results:There were 426 psoriasis patients,including 223 males and 203 females.The questionnaire results showed that the quality of life of 410 patients with psoriasis was affected,of which 79(18.5%)patients with psoriasis were mildly affected(2≤DLQI<6),93(21.8%)patients with psoriasis were moderately affected(6≤DLQI < 11),and238(55.9%)patients with psoriasis were severely affected(11≤DLQI≤30).The total score of the DLQI score of patients with psoriasis was(12.24±7.147).After statistical analysis,the factors influencing the quality of life in patients with psoriasis include disease course(P < 0.05),subjective support(OR=0.888,P < 0.01),availability of support(OR=0.777,P=0.002),negative coping styles(OR=1.270,P < 0.01),worry about health(OR=0.560,P < 0.01),satisfaction and interest in life(OR=1.850,P < 0.01),melancholic or pleasant mood(OR=0.722,P < 0.01),and control of emotions and behavior(OR=0.845,P=0.022).It was statistically significant.Conclusion:The quality of life of patients with psoriasis is significantly affected.The course of disease,social support level,coping style and overall well-being of patients with psoriasis are all influencing factors of patients’ quality of life.It can help improve the quality of life in patients with psoriasis by developing individualized treatment plans,enhancing patients’ confidence in curing,encouraging patients to face the disease positively and improving social support for patients.
