Objective:To understand the current status of infectious disease health literacy education among medical college students in Shanxi Province,and analyze the influencing factors of infectious disease health literacy among medical college students in Shanxi Province.Based on this,it is proposed that universities strengthen health education strategies for infectious diseases to improve students’ future level of infectious disease health literacy.Methods:This paper uses the literature research method to master the research status of infectious disease health literacy at home and abroad,and grasp the connotation and extension of infectious disease health literacy and infectious disease health education.The method of keyword co-occurrence and clustering was used to explore the current research status and hot spots of infectious disease health literacy in China.Using the questionnaire survey method,the author investigated the level of infectious disease health literacy and the acceptance of infectious disease health education among students in medical colleges and universities in Shanxi Province.By using statistical methods and descriptive analysis,the current situation of infectious disease health education among college students was explored;Through single-factor analysis and multi-factor analysis,explore the influencing factors of infectious disease health literacy of college students;Through difference analysis,explore the overall difference in the level of infectious disease health literacy between different universities.Result:In terms of the status quo of the health education of infectious diseases received by the students of Shanxi Medical Undergraduate Colleges,most of the students have relevant experience in health education of infectious diseases,can actively acquire the relevant knowledge of infectious diseases,and consciously accept the health education of infectious diseases.School is the most important way for students to acquire the knowledge of infectious diseases.The basic knowledge and concepts of infectious diseases,and the prevention knowledge of infectious diseases are the most accepted knowledge of students at present.The knowledge of infectious disease prevention,management and treatment is the knowledge that students think they have the highest rate at present;At present,the main obstacle for students to acquire knowledge is that the school curriculum is not systematic and perfect.Students generally hope that colleges and universities will carry out health education on infectious diseases in the future.The most desirable course form is to distribute relevant knowledge manuals,and the most desirable course content is the prevention knowledge of infectious diseases.In terms of the level of infectious disease health literacy of students in medical universities in Shanxi Province,the average score of infectious disease health literacy is15.02±5.92,and the rate of health literacy is 42.4%.In terms of the level of health literacy of infectious diseases from the four dimensions,the literacy rate of the basic knowledge and concept dimensions of infectious diseases is the highest(49.8%),followed by the prevention of infectious diseases(46.2%);The third is the identification of pathogens and infectious sources,with a possession rate of 43.6%.The lowest is the management and treatment of infectious diseases,with a possession rate of 33.9%.In general,the possession rate of the four dimensions of infectious disease health literacy is slightly different.The results of univariate analysis showed that there were significant differences in the overall level of infectious disease health literacy in terms of gender,grade,major,place of origin,educational background of parents,family population,infectious disease and vaccination.Multi-factor logistic regression analysis showed that the significant influencing factors of infectious disease health literacy included major,father’s education,mother’s education,family population,and whether or not suffering from infectious diseases.The results of difference analysis among medical undergraduate colleges in Shanxi Province show that the differences in the overall level of health literacy of infectious diseases and the basic knowledge and concepts of infectious diseases,the prevention of infectious diseases,the management and treatment of infectious diseases,and the identification of pathogens and infectious sources are statistically significant.Conclusion:In terms of the status quo of health education on infectious diseases among medical undergraduate students in Shanxi Province,the overall level of health literacy on infectious diseases among college students is high;The health education of infectious diseases among college students is good;The level of infectious disease health literacy of college students in all dimensions is basically balanced;The level of infectious disease health literacy of college students still needs to be improved;The path of infectious disease health education in colleges and universities needs to be optimized.In terms of improving the health literacy of infectious diseases among college students and optimizing health education,the following measures are taken: first,improve the health awareness of infectious diseases among college students: conducting special education activities on campus,emphasizing personal hygiene habits,advocating healthy lifestyles,and creating a good health education environment;Second,improve the curriculum system of infectious diseases: revise and update the curriculum,introduce and develop modern teaching materials,strengthen the construction of teachers,strengthen practical education links,and carry out balanced health education on infectious diseases;The third is to change the teaching methods of infectious disease education: using online teaching resources,implementing independent learning,using school associations to gain knowledge through volunteer propaganda,promoting family school integration,and jointly improving the level of infectious disease health literacy;Fourth,strengthen the management of infectious disease prevention and control: establish a scientific prevention and control system,strengthen testing and monitoring,strengthen school health supervision,strengthen the management of external personnel,and do a good job in infectious disease public opinion work.
